Jungkook freezes when he feels her red gloss touch his lips, his mind begins to race a hundred thoughts like his whole system screaming 'alert'. alcohol makes people do the dumbest shit of their lives, despite pushing this backward, he knew this wasn't right.

it could never be right. so he pulls away, almost wanting to push the woman harshly but he refrains from doing so. She could see him tremble, his hands shaking so were his eyes searching for a sign to run away. "stop-" he whispers softly, as he takes a few steps behind. the woman looks at him confused at his actions, he was never like this.

he would never say no to her before, he's never done then why today. "this is- wrong-" he speaks in a stuttering tone but it only leaves her curious. she knows Jungkook like the back of her hand or so she thought she did. Jungkook never had a right or wrong in his dictionary of women, she would ask anything from him and he would give her.

Haerin's eyebrow raises in question. "wrong? what's wrong here Jungkook? I know you're single and you've never been in any relationship aside from ours. then why is this wrong?" she asks him, her tone serious. "I can't do this-" "Yes, you can! you know you still hold on to our memories, why do you wear the perfume I gave you for our 1st anniversary if all of this is wrong."

"no!" he mutters firmly, his eyes bloodshot, which could be either due to the alcohol inside his system or that he's holding back something inside him. "Jungkoo-" "I said stop!" he moves towards the exit and is desperate for an escape. the room was suffocating him, he was reminded of things he never wanted to think about again, most of them being pain.

only pain. Jungkook stumbles when he makes his way out of the hallway, meeting the businessmen and apologizing for his departure as an emergency. he leans on the walls for support, the feeling of her gloss still lingering on his lips. he didn't give her the opportunity to press the whole of her lips to his but the bit that he felt had left a tint, a sticky mess on his lips that he can't seem to erase.

no matter how much he wipes it off his lips, with the back of his hand, with his shirt too it just doesn't go away. in fact, it feels like it's growing deeper into each layer of his lips. and the presence lingers on him like the back of his mind, a haunting reminder of a past he's tried hard to forget and now it feels like he's caught himself in another web attached to his gone days. He barely talks about it, to anyone.

the only people he had were his best friends who would always be with him in every step, that was until everything changed. now he's left with no one. and pushes away the people who want to help and reach him out. Jungkook and Haerin shared a past, a dark past that's tangled with regret and a series of pain.

what started off to be too good to be true didn't last long until the cracks began to show and affected him in ways he didn't imagine. there's always an inside story to each person and Jungkook's was emotional abuse that formed the person he is today. he's had his share of experiences that allowed him to grow hatred for women. his mother. then Haerin. Jungkook rushed to leave this place, drunk driving was not something he had pleasure in doing but he couldn't let anyone see him in this state and the only way he could do so was by escaping alone. panic, in his eyes and hands.

his glassy eyes try to hold back his tears but when images of the past show up his sight, he can't do anything but close his eyes. emotional trauma takes a toll on people and it did for Jungkook too. he knew one place where he could get relief from, and that's where he's driving too.
