No, no, no
I'm not at home. I'm with my parents.

Oh

[ Y/n ]
It's working hours, don't text me

ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Lying to your friend never feels good, but you have no choice—you really want to hang out with Hoseok. It's been a while since you last spent quality time together, and a movie night would be a great distraction.

"Bam, come sit with me." You placed the laptop on the coffee table and took the pup into your arms. It's been a few hours since Jungkook dropped you off at his place along with all your belongings for the next few months.

So, you're planning to work from home as much as possible, and none of your colleagues know yet. Jungkook intends to inform them in a few days, needing time to come up with a strong, valid reason. "Are you okay with me staying at your place?" you ask Bam, who looks at you with expressive eyes full of happiness and comfort as he cuddles in your arms.

Although he hasn't known you for long, he senses a maternal warmth from you that he's never experienced before. All his life, he's only been hugged by Jungkook, which gave him a sense of security and well-being. Bam didn't realize how nice it felt to have a woman in the house, even though it's only been a few hours since you arrived. "Alright, I'll get back to work," you say, setting him down gently.

Walking into the building, having no sight of you around. Jungkook knows that you're safe at his place. You're working comfortably there. It's what he assumes. Yet he's also aware of the surroundings, how you aren't nearby, your heels not clicking the floor while you walk around, or how you enter his office.

Hoseok sighed and placed his phone back on his desk after you told him not to text during work. He misses you a lot, more than he realizes, and the funny thing is he doesn't even know why. Now that you told him you'll be working from home,

he just wants to spend the weekend at your place. But you declined his offer, and he's sad, though he won't admit it. He can't even believe he's feeling this way, but that's just who he is. "Mr. Jung, we must leave for the meeting." "On my way."

Jungkook looked up from his screen when he heard a few knocks at his door. "Come in," he muttered, his eyes returning to the document on his laptop. "Mr. Jeon, I'm here to inform you about the business trip for Thriveworks."

He nodded, placing his elbows on the table. "The date was moved to this weekend due to the change of dates for the magazine next month. The CEO of Thriveworks, Mr. Lim Seong Wan, was inquiring if you would be available to join the trip." Jungkook's eyes met his employee's, confusion evident as his eyebrows creased, struggling to process the sudden change of plans.

"What? This weekend?" "Yes, Mr. Jeon." Jungkook clicked his tongue, looking ahead as he rested his chin on the back of his hands, contemplating the alteration. Then he realized he wouldn't be alone—you needed to be taken care of as well. Maybe he could drop you off at your place.

"Alright, I'll make my decision after I think it through." "Sure, sir." This was something Jungkook hadn't anticipated. He could leave you at your place, but now he's torn between his mind and his heart. He continued working on his document, trying to push the dilemma from his mind.
