you thought he would say something of that sort, didn't you?  he did not. In fact, it was far from what he was actually gonna say. his hold was still tight around your wrist, even when you tried to move away from him.

"I'm here for a reason y/n-" he doesn't say what you thought he would. Instead, he speaks,

"i want to be involved in this as much as you do." You turn around to look at his face after he speaks those words. Does he want to be involved? Since when? The look on your face expresses the emotions and voices in your head because Jungkook sighs. He can tell that it's not something he says. It's definitely not something you hear from him.

"I really want to clear things between us, can we? keep aside our anger issues and just speak, just today?"

'This is so unlike him,' you think to yourself as he murmurs his speech. you turn to face him fully and examine his face to find any trace of lies or maybe even a prank. but you found none. "I'm being honest. Can we? okay, at least let me speak.

Clear the shit I've done." You nod. There is a lot of shit that he's done, and you need to know why he did all that back in Paris. he follows you to the couch and you both take a seat, the personal distance between the two of you shows that you both aren't comfortable with each other yet, although it's been more than 2 months living under the same roof.

Jungkook seems nervous. What happened back at Paris was all about Taehyung, and that takes him back to the past. the past that's hidden in a cage that he's thrown away from his life. He's got to open it now to talk about it all. He trusts you, does to a certain level, and since this involves you, he's left with no choice but to open up. "go on." You mutter, and he hums in exchange as he breaks his finger knuckles and tries to form it all inside his head before speaking.

"what i did back there was wrong. I admit it. I was not in the right state of mind." He voices out his actions as he tries to rectify the mistake he made back in the hotel. you look at him while he stares at the ground, certainly avoiding eye contact from you. It lets him concentrate better because each time he looks into your eyes, not in your eyes. into your eyes. He loses his words, and he forgets everything.

almost like his eyes can see a different world in yours and like your eyes can see right through him. it's funny how Jungkook feels that way when he's only ever looked into your eyes once. That was past 6 months now, but he still remembers that feeling vividly. and he wishes he could fall into the depths into the oceans of your golden amber eyes. "I've honestly got no idea why I reacted like that, but Taehyung and I shared a bad past, and I just didn't want him to hurt you."

his eyes flicker to yours. He notices the way your eyebrows furrowed with the tilt of your head. "What do you mean, hurt me? Why would he hurt me?" Jungkook was waiting for you to question him. He knew that was coming, so he prepared himself to answer it.

"I'm not gonna go into details, but be manipulates most women for his own advantage in many ways for many reasons. In fact, I'm not sure if he still does, but I assume so, i just didn't want to take the risk." You see the fidgeting in his fingers and the couple of gulps he does time to time, as well as his jaw clenching.

he's uncomfortable in this conversation and wants it to end. You figured it, so you sighed and stood on your feet. It's better to leave it and not unfold the past anymore. "I get it, but that does not justify your behaviour."

"I know, and I apologise for my behaviour. It's not acceptable. i'm- i'm sorry." he immediately verbalises. you know he is because he's got a sincere look on his face, his eyes look round and bigger. oh, his eyes speak so much that his words don't convey. "I forgive you, I'm sorry for my behaviour too. I was disrespectful."
