CHAPTER NINE
LORELEI ALEXIS SPEARSColby and I stayed at the lake all day. We talked about what went on in the past days where we had gone without talking to each other.
I didn’t mention becoming a crumpled mess in the hallway after I had run away from him. Although he was probably wondering why I was asleep in the empty corridor after hours, considering he was the one who found me, and carried me back to my dorm. He didn’t ask. Maybe he felt like he would be intruding?
I told him about how Cedric had asked me out just earlier today. I couldn’t help but blush like crazy. He laughed at my red cheeks, in spite of me telling him it wasn’t funny.
I neglected to tell him about my interaction with Theodore Nott just outside the library a few nights ago. Where he had been caught past curfew in the library, and I had practically walked right into him. I didn’t know how Colby would react. And I didn’t need him to worry about something that was a little harmless detail in the days that passed when we were not together.
Colby told me of his experiences while we were apart.
“He basically acted as if I weren’t there the one night he actually slept in the dorm. Although I could tell he was definitely pissed about something. Knowing him, he’s probably still not over the fact that he’s ‘required’ to share a dorm with me. Although, I'm a Slytherin just like him. I wish he’d stop acting as if I don't belong just because I have a heart.” Colby went on.
“The one night he was there?” I questioned “he didn’t stay the other nights?”
“No. Blaise did though. He’s not that bad of a guy. I guess Nott’s reputation just reflects on him or something. I couldn’t say the same for Riddle, or even Malfoy.”
“Where was he? If he wasn't in the dorm, I mean”
“What's with the sudden obsession with Nott?” Colby questioned. He wasn't mean about it, just curious.
“No reason” I shrugged, looking down and settling my hands throughout the blades of grass. “I was just wondering”
“I don't know where he was. Probably spending the night in some girls' dorm.” He rolled his eyes.
“Poor girl” I chuckled. Although I'm sure the girls that do indeed spend the night with Theodore rarely leave feeling unlucky. Maybe later they would.
Besides, he only really stuck to one girl at a time. Currently, that girl was none other than Pansy Parkinson. Another one of the Pure-blood ‘Elite’ Slytherins. But he did like to have his fun regardless.
He and Pansy weren't official, per se. But it wasn't a secret about what they did together. I would be surprised if Nott could actually keep a relationship longer than a week.
Girls followed him around almost all the time wherever he went. Sometimes even muggle borns. It shocked me that anyone who didn't have pure blood would want to be around him. Considering they would have to sneak around him to avoid getting bullied.
Theodore wouldn't pay any attention to the girls who competed for his attention. But something told me, he liked the flirty looks of adoration that were constantly shot his way from his obvious, various admirers. Small waves from other sides of the classroom, would earn a smirk on his face. He loved that he was so desired, and he abused the fact that he was.
