Luna was sitting on a chair in Legolas lap with her head laid against his chest. Her eyes were red from the crying and her voice was a bit husky because of the screaming she had made for the last hour. Now, she was half asleep because of exhausting but still listening on to the conversation around her.

"Frodo has passed beyond my sight. The darkness is deepening."Gandalf spoke up.

"If Sauron had the ring, we would know it."Aragorn said.

"It's only a matter of time. He has suffered a defeat, yes.. but behind the walls of Mordor our enemy is regrouping."Gandalf explained.

"Let him stay there. Let him rot! Why should we care?"Gimli spoke.

"Because ten thousand orcs now stand between Frodo and Mount Doom. I've sent him to his death."

"No."Aragorn denied,"There's still hope for Frodo. He needs time and safe passage across the plains of Gorgoroth. We can give him that."

"How?"Gimli asked.

"Draw out Sauron's armies. Empty his lands. Then we gather our full strength and march on the black gate."

"We cannot achieve victory through strength of arms."Eomer spoke up.

"Not for ourselves. But we can give Frodo his chance if we keep Sauron's eye fixed upon us. Keep him blind to all else that moves."Aragorn explained.

"A diversion."Legolas stated.

"Hm. That is not a fully bad idea."Luna spoke up as she lifted her head up from Legolas chest.

"Certainly of death.. small chance of success.. what are we waiting for."Gimli said.

"Sauron will suspect a trap. He will not take the bait."Gandalf spoke up.

"Oh, I think he will."Aragorn replied.

In the middle of the night Luna woke up with a scream because of a nightmare. Sweat was covering her forehead and tears were in her eyes as she looked around, running an hand through her hair.

Her hand goes up to the necklace Jasper had given her before he had died, she let out a shaky breath and bit her lip as a tear rolled down her face. Just after her doors opened and Legolas rushed in.

"I heard you scream, what happened?"Legolas didn't waited for an explanation before he sat down on her bed and pulled her into a hug.

"I..had a nightmare.."Luna murmured as she scooted closer to Legolas and let a few tears fall from her eyes. She hated how vulnerable she was right now, and how jasper's dead had taken a tool from her mental state.

Legolas gently stroke her head, his hand running through her hair in a soothing gesture,"Do you want to talk about it?"

"..No..not really."Luna murmured as she sniffed a bit. She did not wanted to remember Jasper's dead again, she already felt like it was her fault. There was always a voice nagging in the back of her mind telling her if she wouldn't have joined the fellowship this wouldn't have happened, that it was her fault Jasper was dead now too,"I just want you to be with me, please."

Legolas nodded,"I stay the night."He murmured and kissed her forehead.

Right now, Luna and the rest were riding towards Mordor to distract Sauron, and take his attention away from Frodo. Well, let's say Luna was flying on Dharak.

It didn't took that long honestly as Gondor was right next to Mordor, but Luna still wasn't happy to be here.

"Let the lord of the Black land come forth!"Aragorn spoke up,"Let justice be done upon him!"There was a silence until the gates opened and someone in full armor walked out.
