"We have time," he said.
After hearing him say this, I just couldn't stay there like that. I got up and went near the river. The stream of the water was so clear and fast, the sunset made it look like there is fire in that water, it was beautiful because sometimes things may seem calm and composed but when you get to know about it you realise not everything is what they seem and that there is a massive chaos in that silence.
‘Who was your fictional crush’. He asked as I washed away my thoughts to bring me to reality.
‘Hmm,  Jake Peralta from Brooklyn 9-9. I replied
‘Why Jake?’ I huffed
‘Why Jake? He is the best guy, he is smart , funny, he sings , he is kind and he dances sometimes as well, which makes him more funny and nobody had the ability to make the best song better but he did it with ‘‘i want it that way’’. I sang the last part.
‘I can do all of that’. He said in a defending tone.
‘Can you dance?’
‘You'd be surprised’ He replied as he got up and pulled out his phone from his pocket and suddenly
‘You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you’’ , played as he lip synced it and gave me his hand.
‘No, i'm not dancing here in the middle of a road’ I laughed.
‘It's an abandoned road and come on, you're the one who wanted to see me dance and I need a dance partner cherry’. He danced a little as he pulled me till I stood in front of him.
I was holding  his shoulder and his one hand was on my waist as he held my hand with another. We were in a classic dance pose.
‘‘Pardon the way i stare
There's nothing else to compare’’
"We are looking like fools you know i laughed’ As we danced forward.
‘I like being foolish with you’ He winked ( his eyes, his EYES!!)
‘And I like being with you,’ I replied without holding myself for the first time. He blushed and to hide this he said,
‘Okay so now, for the next line we are going to move our hands sideways back and forth and then i'm going to spin you and the-’
‘Spin me, no no noooo’ I replied
‘Well it's a half spin and then a full spin and then just follow my legs as we will left tap then right tap and then again right tap and then left and then again a full spi-’.
‘I'm going to stop your right there because i didn't understand a thing and i don't thin-’
‘Shh, the line is coming just follow my lead’ He replied then
“I Love you (‘Ready? He asked to which i nodded my head’) Baby
And it's quite alright
I need you, baby
To warm a lonely night
I love you, baby”
‘Rivaan, i think that spins and taps have ended a few seconds  and now we are doing something totally different’ I worried
‘It's fine T, just follow my lead,
You trust me?’ He laughed and i nodded and he said thanks as he placed a soft kiss on my forehead and suddenly everything seemed okay, i forgot all my worries, all my fears
To warm a lonely night
I love you, baby
Trust in me when i say
Oh. pretty baby
Don't bring me down, I pray……’’ and as the song came to the end my realisation came closer.
And in this moment felt like the only thing that matters is the time i have spent with him, the laughs i shared with him, the trust i had in him, I love i have for him.
I have fallen in love and this time it's not a fictional character.
I love Rivaan.
As the song ended and the next began,
Everybody loves somebody sometimes’.
