Chapter 10

(Jakes POV)

"I love you"...

I awaited for Johnnie to say it back, but he didn't. Then, I felt something wet on my chest. I looked down at Johnnie's charcoal hair as he looked up, meeting my eyes, as tears fell from his blue crystal orbs. 

I sat down, pulling him with me, cupping his face with my hands.

"What's wrong?"

Johnnie didn't say anything.

"Please, Johnnie, tell me what's wrong?"

"I... I can't be with you Jake".

My heart dropped, my blood stopped, my emotions crushed, and my eyes filled with salty water.

"Wh-"

"I know it's hard to understand, but..." Johnnie placed his hands on my chest, talking with a mix of sadness and anger, 

"If I'm with you... then you're in danger... i-if other vampires found out about us, it would all be over!"

"I don't care Johnnie... I don't fucking care! I frankly couldn't give a flying shit! If I die! I need you Johnnie! Please..." my voice turned from a yelling cry, to a sad plead.

(Johnnie's POV)

I looked up at Jake's face and saw the pleading, begging look in his eyes that matched my feelings, even if I wanted to... I don't think I could keep myself from Jake.

"Okay... but, if anything happens.. anything that may cause harm to you, I'm gone, and you'll pretend we never existed..." I said as I wiped a tear from his face.

"O-okay, I'm okay with that". Jake said.

"Okay then... can I see you smile?" I said while looking up at him, glad to see him smiling.

He wrapped his arms around me pulling me closer to him. 

"Please don't ever say those words again, I can't handle loosing you, especially when I only just found you".

Jake's words pierced through my heart like cupids arrow itself.

"I won't... I won't need to".

I wish I didn't say those words... because then I wouldn't have had a promise to break.

(Jake's POV)

"I won't... I won't need to"

I wish he didn't say those words... because then it wouldn't have been as hard to be with out him.
