Chapter 12

I'm leaving him with no one...

My Johnnie....

(And now....(Jake's POV)

I watched the tall lien figure approach me, my eyes tracing over it's features as it got closer, they were like Johnnie's... but sharper, disgustingly sharper, he didn't look human at all. The figure grasped my neck with one hand and pushed me up against the wall.

"Not fighting I see? Well, this should be an easy job for me, although some fun would have been nice".

He pulled my drivers licence out of my pocket, looking for a name, which I saw as an opportunity to run, so I did. I ducked under his arm and ran half way up the street, calling out for help, but no one came, no one except the vampire who had caught up to me again... the speed, of course. As the vampire leant out to grab me again, another black figure dashed pass my view towards the taller figure.

We're there 2 vampires about to kill me...

No, they were fighting... would one kill the other and have me...

I then saw a tattoo on the arm of the 2nd vampire... Johnnie.

Before I knew it, Johnnie was holding me in his arms, bridal style, and using that speed they all seemed to have to rush us to our house. It made me feel like throwing up, but it was still kinda fun, like riding an extra speedy motorcycle.

Once we arrived home, Johnnie sat me on the couch and ran his hand over my face and neck checking for bite, and he then lifted my shirt a little to check no harm had been caused to my torso.

"Did he hurt you at all?" Johnnie said sternly.

"No, I'm all good thanks to you." I replied with a smile.

(Johnnie's POV)

I looked up at the smile that Jake's face held, and that made me break away from my stern character. Although, the pit in my stomach was still present, because I knew I would have to distance myself from Jake now... especially after causing a fight with Damien... the vampire councils son... shit, I've put myself and Jake in danger, although, really just Jake, I mean, it is rule that vampires can't kill other vampires, however, we can fight, so the'll probably do some harm if they find out I was me, but I was wearing a hoodie and some sun glasses, plus it was dark, so he may have not been able to recognise my features... although he-

I got cut off by Jake kissing me.

"Sorry, you just looked like you were over thinking things" Jake laughed.

I smiled back at him, I would stay with him... for now...

(Jake's POV)

Johnnie and I went to bed... but something didn't feel right, it felt as though... that would be the last night he was in my bedroom. I cuddled right up to him, wrapping him in my arms, and he wrapped his arms around my torso, before kissing the top of my head.

"I love you".

My heart skipped a beat, as in I literally think it skipped a beat.

"I love you too Johnnie" I said with a smile.

So, as you've probably noticed, the last 2 chapters have been shorter, don't worry I will try making some longer ones still, it's just harder to when school is around, I started this book in the holidays, so it was easier. Also, if you skipped the A/N I left between chapter 9 and chapter 10, I understand, I do that too, but I would be thankful if you did read it please, it's only 1 paragraph 😁.
