Albus sat down next to the bed where his daughter lay sleeping. A small smile tugged at the corners of her sleeping expression. He huffed a laugh and shook his head lightly. Hopefully it is a good memory.
"Why would you do as she asked brother?! She's a child!" Abethorth seethed at Albus, as he looked down at his niece. He wasn't happy that Albus had just complied with his seventeen-year-old niece. She didn't know what she was doing! This was nonsense!
"She's in love with Riddle," Albus replied turning his sad eyes toward his brother, Aberthorth groaned and dropped his head, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Of course she is. She's too much like you!" He spat. Albus laughed bitterly, turning back to his daughter. That she was. She was internally to much him for her own good. The door to The Room of Requirement opened and Newt Scamander stepped inside. His eyes instantly going to Asteria's sleeping frame.
"Albus? What is wrong with Asteria? And why is she in The Room Of Requirement?" Albus inhaled a deep breath and stood up strolling over to Newt as he forced a small smile.
"Asteria's seer powers have come forth. In the form of Nightmares and she has made it clear that she must sleep for some time until she is needed." Newt's eyebrows drew together in concern as he inches closer to the bed.
"But she will be alright sleeping that long?" Newt's eyes flickered over to Abe who only nodded at him.
"She will be fine Newt. Her body remain the age that it is now."
Aberthorth snorted and shook his head.
"What will you do when he comes looking for her? Because Merlin knows that he will." Albus inhaled a sharp breath and glared over at his brother.
"Do you think that he loves her?" Albus asked. But there was something else in Albus's tone. Aberthorth knew that his brother wanted him to lie and just tell him what he wanted to hear. But he couldn't do that. Not even for his brother.
"I think that he is obsessed with her. And he is confusing that with love. But you know all about a partner like that...and you know that he will come for her. And he will raze whatever is in his way."
Albus inhaled a deep breath and glanced down at Asteria. He frowned down at her.
"I'll do whatever it takes to protect my daughter. And so will Grindelwald. Whether you believe it or not. He loves her more than his own life." Aberthorth shook his head and scoffed.
