Asteria wore a disgusted expression as she sat with her arms crossed in a compartment on the train. Hermione was reading next to her and Harry and Ron were talking among themselves quietly. This was driving her mad. She could have just apparated to Hogwarts. But James had said that it was better to lay low. Because as a seventh year that would be something that they would be learning how to do this year, and she needed to blend in the best way that she could. But she was getting antsy. She wasn't going to be able to sit in this compartment much longer. Or she was really going to lose her mind.
"I need to stretch my legs." She finally said standing up from her seat. Hermione opened her mouth to say something but the look on Asteria's face made her stop. "Don't worry. I won't be killing anyone today. My responsibility is to protect Harry and anyone else stupid enough to get in over their heads." Hermione nodded.
Asteria sighed happily as she made her way through the train. But she was letting her eyes wander over all of the older students. Looking for any sign of lingering dark magic.
"I'm really sorry to hear about your Mum Matt." Asteria's ears perked up at that. She peeked in and sure enough it was a group of Slytherins. Draco among them.
"It's not like she was much of a mum anyway." The boy with the dark curls said. Asteria's heart dropped. He looked a little like Tom. The dark curls. The dead look in his eyes. Her eyes narrowed. This one was one of Tom's sons.
"Draco is that you?" Asteria said in an overly cheery voice. Making her presence known. All their heads snapped toward her, and they seemed surprised. Draco however looked slightly terrified. Asteria gave them her award-winning smile and she noticed the shift in the young men in the compartment.
"Draco who is your stunning friend?" The Italian accent told Asteria one thing, and it was that this boy was a Nott. Draco huffed and rolled his eyes as he took Asteria's hand with ease. It had surprised her.
"This is Asteria Evans. Her mother and Mine were friends. Asteria has transferred here for her last year. Asteria this is Mattheo Riddle, Theodore Nott, Blaise, Lorenzo Berkshire, Pansy Parkinson, Astoria Greengrass and her sister Daphne." Asteria gave Draco's hand a gentle squeeze. It was the opening that she needed,
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you,"
"Are you a muggle?" A cold look took over her features as she turned her eyes toward the deep voice that belonged to the brown eyed boy.
"A Pureblood actually. Kind of insulting that you just assumed that." She countered with ease. Lorenzo gave her an easy-going smile as he looked her up and done.
"She will most likely be in Hufflepuff." Asteria smirked.
"Because I look innocent to you? Even cobras seem harmless when they are sleeping. But if you step on it all it takes is one bite and then you're dead." Asteria leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to Draco's cheek. "We will catch up later."
She knew that it was risky threatening them. But she was done hiding that she was smarter and stronger than them. Their families' power meant nothing to her. She was the daughter if Grindelwald and they would all find that out. She let out a small groan when her forehead hit something solid. She grumbled and reached up rubbing her forehead softly. A scowl settled on her face. She lifted her eyes, and the world tilted around her.
The heat in her body all but evaporated as soft blue eyes peered down at her. Bile rose in the back of her throat, and she stumbled back. Her mind was racing and the instinct to run was high.

Tom reached out to catch her. But Asteria held her hand out to stop him. Her free hand instantly reached for her wand.
"Are you alright miss?" The hair on the back of her neck stood up. Hsi voice was different, but this was too much even for her.
"Stay away from me." She inhaled a deep breath and righted herself. Tom smirked and shook his head.
"Afraid of me, are you?" Asteria's gaze turned lethal.
"I can smell the dark magic on you. It is not hard to know what blood runs through your veins!" She snarled. Hands came down on her shoulders and she relaxed. She tilted her head to look up at Reggie. His expression was cold and unreadable.
"Sorry Tom. She's sensitive to magic. It overwhelms her sometimes." Tom eyed them both for a long moment. His gaze shifting to Asteria. He studied her for a long moment. There was something that was strangely familiar about the girl, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
"Come on Ari." Regulus said gently wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her away from Tom.
"What the hell was that all about?" Tom turned to Barty and shrugged lightly. He had no idea, but he was going to find out if it was the last thing that he did.

Asteria thought that there was no possible way that her father could embarrass her anymore, but she had been wrong. And here was standing among the first years getting ready to be sorted into a house. She frowned as she looked at her father and he gave her a small nod. She rolled her eyes and suppressed a growl. A few of these first years looked terrified of her.
"Miss Evans?" Asteria turned toward McGonagall's soft tone, and she smiled sweetly at her. She let out a clipped sigh and moved forward. Sirius had said that The hat had had been spoken to and it wouldn't reveal who she really was. But there was something that was unsettling about the whole thing. Asteria knew in her heart that she would not be placed in Gryffindor again.
She sat down on the stool and shook her head before she dropped her head in her hand.
"She doesn't seem interested in what i have to say...So it would seem that the only right choice would be Slytherin." The hat's words struck her still and her heart dropped as Minerva took the hat and placed a hand on her shoulder. Asteria shook it off and went to the Slytherin table. She sat down beside Reggie and dropped her head on to his shoulder. Making him chuckle and pat her head affectionately.
"Oh how the mighty have fallen." He teased lightly.
"I will hit you." She muttered. Regulus snorted and Asteria stiffened when someone sat down next to her. She sat straight and almost groaned. Brown eyes met hers and he smirked.
"So how do you know Regulus?" Mattheo asked. He could tell right away that this girl was on high alert around him. He couldn't figure out why though. She rolled her eyes.
"Go away Riddle." Draco snorted when he saw a surprised look on Mattheo's face. Poor guy was used to girl fawning all over him. But this one wanted nothing to do with him. He was kind of glad for it. But he had this unsettling feeling that she might actually try to kill both the Riddles in their sleep.
"Easy little dove. I'm just trying to be friendly." Regulus stiffened at the nickname. Asteria had physically paled, and her body coiled. Her arm reared back, and she blinked as her fist made contact with his face. Tom was on his feet in an instant making his way toward his younger brother and the girl. But She was already climbing to her feet. Regulus close behind her trying to get her attention.
Mattheo let out a clipped laugh and watched her leave.
