Asteria knew that James was somewhere nearby as she and Severus walked through the winding narrow hallway as a man in all black led the way to where her papa was being held. She wanted to punch Severus every time that he grunted. He was the most annoying person that she knew. She chewed on her bottom lip as the man stopped and slid open a window on an iron door and stepped back pointing toward it.
She slowly made her way toward the window, and she let out a small gasp. Her papa had aged and not well. He looked sickly and it hurt her heart to see it.
"Have you torn his heart from his chest yet?" She fought a smile as her papa's voice filled her mind with ease.
"Not yet. But it will be me or him in the end." Grindelwald smirked and gave a sharp nod. The guard cleared his throat and Grindelwald cut his eyes toward him.
"She is of my blood." Asteria smiled gently at her father.
"I love you papa." She pushed the thought toward him and a ghost of a smile graced his lips.
"Remember what I told you. Tom Riddle is your Destiny." A chill ran through her body as she gave her papa a pleading look. She wished that she understood what he meant. She hated when he wouldn't explain the things that he had seen. Severus grabbed her arm and gently guided her backwards.
"The Minister will want to have a word with her." Severus's hold on her tightened as the guard took a step forward.
"Not without a legal guardian present and ass Dumbledore is not available that will have to wait." He said in an icy tone that even made Asteria stiffen.
"The Minister will not like that he has to wait." Severus snorted and rolled his eyes.
"I do not care. The child was left in my care, and I am telling you he may not speak to her without her legal guardian or the headmaster." Asteria blinked as he dragged her back the way that they had came. Slowly she smiled and peeked up at Severus.
"That was kind of cool Snape. I didn't know you had it in you." Severus scoffed but did not say anything snide back to Asteria. Well maybe there is hope for Snivellious yet.

Asteria had been in the library since she had returned to school. If she was being honest, she was hiding away. Because she knew that the girls would want to know where she had gone for half of the day. She blinked several times trying to focus on what she was reading. But the words kept blurring. She was exhausted and frankly she just wanted to sleep. But she wanted to make sure that she wasn't going to fall behind in any of her classes. The chair next to her pulled out but she didn't bother to look up to see who it was until a notebook was slid toward her. She slowly turned her curious gaze and then she frowned.
"What are you doing here Tom?" He barely looked at her and opened his potion book.
"They are notes from classes today. You missed half the day." Surprised she glanced down at the notebook and then back to Tom.
"Why are you being nice to me?" Tom huffed a sigh and turned toward her. His blue eyes boring into her like he was trying to read her mind.
"I'm not my father. And I'd like it if you could look passed my last name." Her face flushed and she quickly looked away from him. She hadn't thought that he would say something like that.
"You are very weird." She finally stated as she took the notebook and stated copying what was in it. Tom fought a smile as he continued to stare down at his Potions book.
"Says the old lady in a seventeen-year-old body." Her eyes narrowed as she smiled slowly turning her head toward him. He did not just call me old.
"What. Did. You. Just. Say." She clipped out trying not to laugh at the shit eating grin on his face as he looked at her. There was a gentleness in his eyes that made her realize that had never been in his fathers. He chuckled shrugged like he hadn't said anything at all. Asteria scoffed and bit down on her tongue to keep from snapping at him.
After several quiet moments Tom leaned back on his chair and tilted his head toward her.
"People have started referring to you are Asteria Grindelwald. You've put a target on your back. It wasn't a good move." Asteria eyebrows furrowed at him.
"I am not scared of Tom Riddle nor am I scared of The Ministry. Your father couldn't kill me no matter how much he wanted too. His obsession won't allow it." She replied in a cold tone as she crossed her arms. Tom studied her for a moment just taking in her features. He could understand why his father had been obsessed with her. She was insufferable.
