Asteria gasped as she looked around the common room and it was completely empty and the music was gone. Her heart hammered in her throat as she stood from her seat. Her skin crawled at the chill in the air.

"There you are little dove-you look the same." His voice sent an internal panic through her body as she turned around toward his deep voice. Her heart nearly stopped at the sight if him. He looked the same as the last time that she saw him. There was a slight burning to her eyes as she stared at him in disbelief. "Don't look at me like that-you look so sad." She swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat.

"You-killed my friend." She replied in a shaky tone. He huffed at her and took a slow step forward.

"They kept you from me and their son was to be my downfall. But with you by my side-" Her gaze turned lethal.

"No. I will not help you-You seem to forget who I am." She squared her shoulders and stared at him with a lethal look in her eyes. A wicked grin pulled at the corners of his mouth.

"No. I know exactly who you are and with your power and mine-we will be unstoppable." She shook her head violently.

"I said NO!" She screamed. "You are worse than my papa and for that I have to stop you and your death eaters-Don't you find it strange that your death eaters arent checking in?" She asked with a small smirk. But Tom didnt seem surprised in the slightest.

"I have more where they came from. Fear is a wonderful thing."

"I'm not afraid of you Tom." He did smile then and it made her feel sick.

"I dont need you to be afraid of me. But I will not stop killing the people that you care about until you are by my side again-something for you to think about little Dove." Her jaw set and she drew her wand to attack him-but then she was thrown from the memory.

Her body jerked and she gasped for air. Her eyes began to focus on what was in front of her and Regulus was knelt next to her and staring at her with a concerned expression. She shook her head letting him know that she wasnt going to talk about it right now. She slowly sat up and glanced around the room and Tom was staring at her. A blank expression in his face but there was concern in his eyes. She did her best to smile at him.

"Come on little viper lets get you to bed." Her eyes widned when Matt lifted her into his arms and started toward the stairs.

"I am more than capable of walking." She shrieked causing the room to erupt in laughter but Matt didnt say anything. He just kept walking. She groaned loudly. She didnt need to be carried and certainly not by the guy whose head she was just in.

"Listen-if you wanted to know something you could have jsut asked. Its dangerous to get inside mine or Tom's head. Our father is always lurking. We can block it out most of the time-but your gifted and broke through the walls I had up. It allowed him in too." She looked down at her legs. She hated when she felt guilty. But there were things that she needed to see for herself.

"I'm sorry." It was all that she could manage to say. But Matt just smiled down at her and tightened his hold on her.

"Don't worry little Viper. He won't get you." She shook her head at him. This lot was just as bad with the nicknames as her other friends had been..Matt placed her on an empty bed and shiftened uncomfortably for a moment before he sat down on the edge of the bed and stared at her. She sighed knowing that he wanted to ask her something.

"What is it?" She finally asked fidgiting with her fingers. Matt inhaled a deep breath.

"How could you--love him?" The question surprised even her. Her eyebrows drew together as she shook her head.

"I don't know-he was charming and bold. He was different-It's hard to explain I suppose. But It was part of his plan. I come from two very powerful fathers. I was blind to his plan. He became obessessive and I saw what he would do to world and I knew that I couldnt take him on as I was. So I slept and grew my power while I slept." She had no idea why she was spilling all of this to this boy.

He may have been Tom's son but there were things that he didnt understand. Things that would and could get him killed if he were to find out to much. Matt inhaled a deep breath and his dark eyes met hers. She gave him a sad smile because in this moment he looked like a scared child.

"Can you stop him?" Exhaustion took her over. She leaned back against the pillows and closed her eyes.

"That's the plan-but first I have a score to settle."
