Asteria shoved Peter forward as they entered the Chamber of Secrets. The one place that she swore that she would never enter again. Peter frantically looked around. The terror in his eyes didn't phase Asteria as she thought that it would.

She never wanted anyone to be afraid of her. But in this moment, she didn't care. Regulus glanced around the chamber almost in awe.

"Ari what are you doing?!" Asteria tilted her head at Peter like she didn't understand what he was asking.

"I know you know who I am." She replied blandly. Peter's eyes widened in shock as he cut his eyes toward Regulus, who still had his wand pointed toward him.

"I have no idea wh-" Asteria scoffed.

"My name is Asteria Grindelwald. And Tom Riddle has been looking for me for almost forty years. I know that you know that, because I can feel the dark magic coming off of you. His magic."

Peter glanced between them like he was trying to come up with something to say. He opened his mouth to say something, but Asteria pinched her fingers together and Peter's mouth clamped closed tightly and panic surged in his eyes.

"Here's your options Pete. You make an unbreakable vow with me, or I kill you where you stand." Asteria drew her wand from her back pocket to make her point and Peter nodded violently.

Regulus had no idea what she had seen but if it had pushed her over the edge like this it must have been something bad. Asteria flexed her fingers and Peter gasped dramatically. Regulus stepped forward as Asteria walked up straight to Peter and held her hand out toward him.

Peter latched on to her wrist tightly as he glared at her. Regulus flicked his wand and watched as two golden threads wrapped around their hands and halfway up their arms.

"Do you Peter Pettigrew swear to NEVER betray The Potters in any way?" Peter looked at her suspiciously.

"I do." Asteria felt the weight on her chest lighten.

"Do you swear to keep their secrets no matter how big or how small?" Regulus arched a curious eyebrow at her.

"I do." Asteria gave a sharp nod and glanced at Regulus. She released her hold on Peter's hand and took a step back away from him.

"Just so you know if you try and tell anyone about what happened here. I will kill you without hesitation." Peter flinched but nodded before running back the way that they had come. Asteria let out a rigid breath and staggered a little.

Regulus shot forward and wrapped an arm around her waist to help steady her. She gave him an embarrassed smile before shaking her head.

"I have never refereed to myself as Grindelwald. But I figured that it sounded more threatening than Dumbledore." Regulus chuckled and a broad smile spread across his lips.

"Both are equally terrifying if you ask the right person. But I think that Peter got the point." Asteria swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat and nodded silently.

Asteria sat in front of the fireplace in the Gryffindor common room as she listened to her friends talk and laugh happily.

"Ari do you have plans for Christmas? If not, you can always come home with me." Asteria smiled to herself before she glanced over her shoulder at Lily. A strange ache filled her chest as she looked at her.

"It is a kind offer Lily pad. But I have plans to see an old friend." Lily searched her face. She could sense that there was something wrong with Asteria. But she said nothing.

"An old friend? Like a boy?" Asteria smirked and she turned around and arched an eyebrow at Sirius's question.

"Why are you jealous Siri?" Sirius frowned but then his eyes lit up as he smacked James's arm excitedly.

"OI! Did you hear that?! Ari gave me a nick name!!" Asteria giggled loudly and this drew the rest of their attention. They looked at her in shock for a moment before they started smiling at her. A worried expression crossed Remus's features as he stared at her.

"Why does it feel like you are saying good-bye?" Asteria looked at Remus and smiled softly. Remus is too smart for his own good.

"I'm not. You have nothing to worry about." Remus didn't believe a word that she had said because there was something in her eyes that made his hair stand on end. Something that made him want to shake her until she told them what was really going on.

Asteria glanced around at her friends and smiled. There was regret in her heart. She wanted to tell them who she was. But she knew how dangerous that really was.

But she knew that Remus would get her letter at Christmas, and he would understand why she was doing what she had to do.
