Su Tang and Ming passed by and did see some civilians panicking. But they ignored it. They had much more important things to do now.

When they reached the laboratory, they finally turned to the shivering little man they had been dragging along with them. It was the little foolish researcher, Researcher Fool, whose ID they planned to steal but they ended up stealing the whole person instead. (A/N: Too lazy to give him a name and remember it~)

Ming was rude and directly searched the researcher roughly and snatched the ID directly to open the door to deeper levels of the laboratory.

"Y-you shouldn't! The leader will kill you if he finds out about--"

"Yeah, yeah~ That is if he is still alive after today~" Ming spoke lazily and sarcastically.

"What do you mean? Wait, seriously, what do you-?!"

Now, Ming just rudely tied up his mouth as well, not caring if it hurt or not.

They call him a fool only because he is far more trusting and prone to accepting flattery than others but they didn't forget that this very fool was part of the tragedy called the zombie apocalypse and maybe more.

The deeper they went, the more security clearances they had to pass by. Some even needed the researcher's iris and fingerprints. The deeper they went, the more tragedies they saw. By the time they were in the deepest level of the laboratory, their faces had already twisted into a ball of disgust and the researcher had gone completely silent.

The deepest part consisted largely of glass cells that were used to observe the test subjects each cell contained looked fragile but was actually very tough. None of the test subjects went crazy in desperation after seeing them, which proved that they probably couldn't see outside the cell. Each cell contained humans who had either gone crazy, or turned into indescribable creatures, mutants, and those who were still sane and shivering in fear.

Among these was a cell with a familiar face—a face that looked just like Lin Sai's. It was very similar, just softer and paler, and with some moles on his face that didn't diminish his beauty. This was all fine, but the problem was the lower body of this familiar face.

It has turned into a flower body, with petals as his skirt and countless roots dangling like tentacles as his legs. He was calmly using his body to sit on the flower.

He has clearly been turned into a mutant.

Ming couldn't help but express disgust for the base. First, kidnapping, then experimentation, right under the eyes of the victim's relatives. They do it so shamelessly that you can not help but ask where did their humanity go?

"Wow~ I thought assassins were the worst kind of humans but this refreshes my worldview. There are actually people worse than us~ Respect~"

Su Tang calmly walked towards the cell containing the flower demon to open it. The researcher struggled violently in horror at this sight, but Ming ignored that and casually chatted with Su Tang.

What's to worry~ They have handled worse zombies~

"Hm? There are plenty of people worse than you guys. There are perverted people who resort to violence, killing, and more. In my dictionary, you guys are still relatively gentle because sometimes, being dead is better than being alive."

"...We actually so have some perverts among our group." Ming couldn't help but want to shatter Su Tang's image of them.

"Oh! I don't mean that your guys are good people~ Don't get me wrong. But you guys are still better than garbage like the researchers here. You still have rules and lines that you won't cross, at least. These garbage would cross any line necessary to get what they want."
