Hua was a wandering snake, a former tribesman of a famous mixed tribe, Copper. He had a fight with his childhood friend and, since he was an orphan, left of his own accord.

He was walking along the riverbank nearby when he slipped on a rock and hit his head on a rock.

Did he sport an impressive bump on his head? Yes. Did he lose his memories? This is not a kdrama, so of course not. (A/N: Might as well be.) But it hurt really bad, and he lost consciousness with tears and snot all over his face.

He woke up in a rabbit's den. His head was throbbing, but he understood that he was saved and sheltered. He peeked out and saw a young female eating grapes out of a black rabbit's hands. He memorized the two's appearance and quietly slipped away, intending to return with gifts to repay the favor.

He caught some prey and picked some fruits and herbs before returning to the den. But the den was empty.

He heard a commission from somewhere and secretly turned into the smaller version of his prototype to sneak a peek at what was going on and maybe spot his two saviors as well.

There were visitors, an odd pair of rabbit and wolf.

He saw his two saviors badmouth either the visitors or look at the visitors with lustful eyes.

He could not help but frown.

He continued to watch and listen. When Raon criticized Kang Joon, Hua wanted to be angry for his savior, but remembering those coveting eyes, he hesitated.

He continued to watch and kept watching, and eventually, no matter how hard he tried to defend his saviors in his head, he couldn't help feeling a little disgust towards them.

After he saw the guests turn to leave, he quietly slipped back into the room and left any rare fruits, prey, or belongings he might have, other than his bracelet, which was priceless to him. He considered this to have repaid any debt left to his two benefactors. Unfortunately, he did not wish to associate further with them.

Just like that, the wandering snake left the rabbit tribe.

And the little shou lost one of his gongs.

Ezra was happily eating some delicious fruits that Rowan brought for him on the way. It seems agreeing to the proposal turned on some weird switch because Rowan has been carrying Ezra in his arms the whole time. In human form, not even in his beat form.

Suddenly, Rowan stopped for a moment. He glanced at the grass and growled a little, taking a defensive pose.

Ezra was confused. There were big question marks over his head, so he tried to look in the grass too, squinting his eyes to pinpoint the threat.

He saw a tiny white...earthworm?

Now he was very confused. Did Rowan just threaten a poor little earthworm?

Hua decided to properly greet them and transformed into his human form.

Rowan immediately realized the situation, covered Ezra's eyes, and tossed some spare clothes at the foolish snake. Hua also realized his blunder and quickly dressed himself.

Ezra regained his sight and saw a pretty man with long, straight, platinum blond hair.

Hua respectfully greeted the two, "Alpha and Luna of the wolf tribe, I am Hua, a wandering snake. I was wondering if I could join your pack."

Rowan frowned. "But there are only wolves there."

Hua pleaded, "And a rabbit. You also mentioned a few others who came as someone else's mate."
