Rowan was hunting alone as he usually did. He has always enjoyed his own company more than the company of his tribe members. He wasn't just a lone wolf because of his difference, it was mostly because of his personality. If it weren't for the war, he probably would have been rotting in his secret hideout right now.

He hunted alone mostly for the peace and quiet that followed it because the admiration and the reverence can sometimes be burdensome.

Today, there was something different. During the meeting in the morning, there was this restlessness in his soul as though his ancestral instinct wanted to break free from the constraints of his body.

Rowan's expression sank and turned grave. Without hesitation, he grabbed his bow and arrows, turned, and ran towards the borders of his tribe. He needed to get out of here.

He immediately ran far from his tribe and turned into a wolf to let out a loud howl. He grabbed his weapons and clothes in his mouth and ran. He continued to follow his instincts and ran towards the place where his instincts were screaming to reach with fear and excitement, to reach before it was too late.

Rowan's heart sank because he realized that he might have found his mate. A mate who's possibly in danger.

Rowan has never looked forward to finding his mate. Imagine meeting someone whose existence disturbs your emotions like a rollercoaster, even though you don't know each other. (A/N: And you know what a rollercoaster is?~)

When Rowan met everyone in the tribe and didn't have a reaction, he was so glad. Until now...he can see a glimpse of a man pressed down by a tiger.

He takes a sharp breath in.

Damn, that's one fine-looking head and rabbit ears.

Rowan came to a sharp stop in some distance, watching the tiger about to attack his mate.

He turned back to a human and took his bow and arrow, aimed, and shot without hesitation, dead in the eyes.

He let out a threatening roar out of anger. That beast dares to attack his mate!

The tiger was frightened and backed off.

Only then did Rowan quickly move towards his mate while putting his clothes on. By the time he came close to his mate, he looked handsome and civilized again.

And he got a good look at his little mate.

Hot damn, now he finally understood why everyone wanted to meet their soulmate so badly.

It's not that their existence gives you inexplicable feelings. It's more like the soulmate is made to be your type and you can't help but fall for them.

That's how Rowan felt. He understood that this rabbit was exactly his type.

Cute, pretty with a hidden cunning.

...

Rowan dropped the rabbit at the priest's. He trusted that man and left the rabbit to be properly treated, just in case.

He has decided. He's not going to let go of his soulmate who is made for him. How many people out there could possibly be exactly his type? Not to mention that letting go of this chance would definitely make him regret it deeply in the future. Also, they had already gone past love at first sight since attraction between fated mates is a two-way street. Any more love can be cultivated. He just needed to show his best side.

After a few days of contemplation, Rowan decided on his next course of action and packed his bags.

Greet the in-laws and get his mate's hand in marriage.
