I returned to class, and that lunch break felt awkward.

Varun and Vihaan were looking at me as if I had committed a crime. There was tension in the air. I could feel both of their eyes on me. What was wrong with them?

That's why I prefer my safer side, Sidharth.

"Sid, are you okay?" I asked, noticing his shirt stained with juice.

He glared at Vihaan, who sheepishly smiled back.

"I'll write you notes for the next lecture as an apology," Vihaan said, patting Sid's shoulder.

"Not just for one lecture, but for all of today's lectures," Sid replied, glaring back but eventually nodding.

Yash was enjoying the drama. Meanwhile, Vani shot daggers at Vihaan while he and Sid whispered together.

If looks could bury someone, Vihaan would be six feet under by now.

The bell rang, and we all returned to class.

Five days passed, and our school announced Sports Day, and the annual day celebration that turned the school into a fair or fish market.

Preparations began, with volunteers making banners. Teachers started organizing everything, from decorations to the stage setup, making sure we had what we needed.

Classrooms became busy places where students practiced their dances, songs, and skits. Some wore bright costumes while others painted backdrops and made props.

And the poor discipline committee they are handling all the chaos.

On Sports Day, we would have a basketball match against another school. These are the most exciting days of school since we get a break from studying, and teachers get busy with activities.

However, students who don't want to participate still have to attend classes....like me.

Also the selection starts from tommorow as they are making list of performances. I never participated in annual day celebration just always excited for anchoring but in my last school teachers were too biased, so never given an actual chance that's why I participated in debates and speech competitions.

I always wanted to participate in cultural activities but then my overthinking never let me about what people will think of me. Nevermind, back to the topic.

As for my unique species of chimpanzee, he's been having mood swings. A terrible mood swings.

Sometimes I want to punch him, but I don't want to hurt his handsome face. Don't think I'm getting on another track, I just care about him as a sweet, kind neighbor.

Still, he's been acting all grumpy toddler.

I don't even have mood swings during my period like he is having nowadays.
