It's been a hectic day.

I really didn't want to be here, but I had no choice. I just finished my notes, although half of them are still left.

While I was walking, I heard someone calling my name.

"Vani Mehta."

I turned around and saw that it was my class teacher.

"Yes, ma'am?" I asked.

"Vani, this is a form for the MKIQ competition, which will be held in Lucknow next week. I thought you might want to join. If you're interested, you can fill out the form and submit it to me by tomorrow morning. It's not compulsory; it's just an extracurricular activity," she said, handing me the form.

I looked at the form and decided to throw it away because I definitely wasn't planning on filling it out.

But then I saw Karan Bhaiya.

What was he doing here?

"Karan Bhaiya, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Vani, your father sent me. He was tensed for you and we can't leave you here alone," he said as he showed me the way to the car.

How could I forget about my dad?

Well, Karan Bhaiya is my bodyguard, appointed by my dad for my protection.

My dad, being overprotective, insisted on it.

I got into the car and noticed my dad was already sitting inside.

"So, how was your first day?" he asked.

"It was okay," I replied, looking straight ahead.

"Umeed hai aap yaha ache se settle ho jayengi aur hamre liye koi nayi musibat nhi khadi krengi," he said while replying to his emails.

(Hmm, Vani, I hope you'll settle in well here and won't cause any problems for me)

"But I didn't do anything," I retorted.

"You know better than I do why you were transferred here. I expect you to control your temper and not cause any more trouble for us," he replied without looking at me.

He's still stuck up on this.

My previous school incident, I tried to control my anger, but the situation had turned out of control, and because of me, Dad lost three business deals but he didn't say anything to me.

"What is this?" Dad asked, pointing at the form.

"Nothing, just a competition entry form," I replied.

"Oh, then fill it out," he said.

"I can't even solve questions in minutes, and for this, I'll have to solve them in seconds. Let it be, this is not my cup of tea," I replied, shaking my head.
