I don't know how long I was out, but I do know when I woke up, I had the worst headache ever. When I walked down the stairs to get me something to eat and drink, my mother was sitting at the table drinking some coffee. She was home from work, she's usually already at work.
"Hey, what are you doing home from work?"
"Dear, it's 4 pm."
"What?"
"Yea, you slept all day long."
"Wait, I missed school!?" I had said.
"Yes, I didn't want to wake you up after last night. Lilly and the boys said what happened."
"And what was that exactly?"
"That you got jumped in the bathroom at the shack by a group of girls and a guy that lives by Adrian and Ryan. That one of the girls that started it all was Adrian's ex-girlfriend. That's what Ryan had said as Adrian carried you up to your room and Lilly changed your clothes before heading home." my mom told me.
"Oh," I said.I looked down and finally noticed I was in different clothes. That's when it all hit me at once. I jumped a little then had to tell her Well ask her.
"Mom, can I ask you something?"
"Yes, dear what is it?"
"As I was being jumped, I felt something in me. And it wasn't the first time I felt it either. I felt it at the mall when we were bowling."
"What did you feel?"
"Some kind of strange feeling going through my body like a power current or something."
"Okay, dear. I think it's time for you to know about something that was being kept from you from awhile. Follow me." my mother told me than got up from her chair grabbing my hand.We walked out of the kitchen down the hall to the dead end of it. There wasn't nothing there but a bookshelf and a picture frame of dad and his side of the family. As I was staring at the picture, mom touched the thickest book ever on the bookshelf and it opened up like a door. Once it had opened up, we walked in and kept going further into the closed in room. Once we got where we needed to go, lights on the wall lite up and the so-called room, that was at the end of the hall behind a bookshelf was a huge room that I never seen my whole life.
"This was your dad's room, and he only went in here once in a while when he had too." my mom told me. "Your dad was this kind of witch, well wizard since he was a male. Only women are called witches. He done most of his wizardry in here to keep it away from you until it was the right time. And of course, me since I was human, but I knew about it though. I only came in here when I had to and well after your father was killed, I came in here a lot to cry. To be close to him and I did feel close to him." she had said then went to box and opened it. She pulled out some candles and a bowl and placed the candles on a table and the bowl in the middle. After she was done with that, she went to the cabinet next to the box and grabbed a few things out of it and put it in the bowl then went to this stand and opened up a huge book and flipped through pages until she stopped and looked at me. "Come here. Witches and Wizards are allowed to use this well other than familiar friend/guardian. But this page right here, I was allowed to do myself with a little help from the magic herbs that I placed in the bowl since I'm human."
"What is it?"
"I could contact your father from the dead. His sprit more likely. And he told me when the time came, to show you this room and to reach him. He wasn't sure what age you were going to be starting to use your powers or start to feel anything but here it goes." she said then started saying words. "Hear these words, hear my cry, Spirit from the other side, come to me, I summon thee, Cross now the great divide."After my mom said those words, there were bright lights coming from the bowl where the candles were lite. After a few moments, a ghost had showed up and it was my father. I was shocked, like I couldn't believe my eyes on what was going on.
"Cris!?" My father said.
"Dad." I said as I started to tear up then he came to me and formed into a solid person and hugged me.I had no words to say as my father held me in his arms.
