The Forbidden Alpha

Chapter 8

Someone else's POV:

3 days ago:

I was sitting in the living room with my best friends soon to be beta and delta. We were playing Cod, when my father, the alpha of Black River pack, came into the living room, throwing me the keys to the suv.

I paused the game. "Where we going?" I asked.
"To the store, the shipment just came in and we're gonna pick it up." My father told me.
"Do you need us or our fathers to come with y'all?" My beta asked.
"No, I have a few guards following behind." My father told him.

As I drove the truck to the store, my father told me to park around back where their trucks go. I backed the truck up as close as I could and turned it off and followed my father up front.
We found the owner up front talking to some guy that worked there and when she saw us she smiled. My father and her talked, I just followed behind until we got to her office. Where I had smelt something so good, so delicious, like strawberries and vanilla. That's when I saw her, a long blonde hair girl talking to the owner. Guessing it was her daughter since she called her honey.

My wolf was howling inside my head, driving me insane. "Mate, mate." He growled.
"Can't be, she's human." I told him.
"I don't care, I want her, I need her." He whined.
"Adam calm down now." I growled at him.
"Adrian, if you fuck this up I'm gonna hurt you." He growled at me.
"She's just a human. She's weak, she won't be able to do anything. Especially my pups."
"Our pups and yes she will." Adam scolded me.

My father looked over at me for a moment then looked back at the girls. The owner asked her daughter; Cris and her friend; Lilly to help load up the truck. The friend said she couldn't do it because she just got her nails done. Adam snorted. Which wanted me to laugh a little but I didn't 
As I watched my match jump up onto the truck and her mother handed her what we ordered. Our mate handed herself well with loading and sorting out the shit in the truck. Maybe I jumped to conclusions too fast, maybe she will be perfect for my Luna.

"Fuck yea, she will." Adam said drooling as we watched her. "She's beautiful."

Yes she was. I thought to myself. Which he heard it anyways. He always hears what I'm thinking which gets annoying sometimes. But I'm glad to have him as my alpha wolf partner.

"Hey since you're new to the area, why don't you come along with us to the riverside?" She asked.
"Who said I was new to the area?" I said kinda rudely.
"Son, don't talk like that." My father said to me. "Sorry Cris, we're not new to the area. Just happened to move back."
"Oh, okay. I guess I'll be seeing you at school then."
"Nope. I don't go to school in town."
"What you mean?" She asked.
"Sorry again, Cris. My son forgot how to speak today." My father said giving me a look. "What my son is trying to say it, he goes to school on the reservation where our land is. It's a small private school for those who live there."
"Oh gotcha. Well do you still want to come to the riverside?" She asked.
"I don't really come into town unless I have to."
"Well it's not in town. It's about what an hour or two drive from here?" She said looking at Lilly and her mom.
"It's actually not too far from Mr. Oakland's land." my mom said looking at the guys.
"Oh is it?" My father said.
"Yea, it's off the i40 and i370 bond." Her mom said.
"Well damn, that's right off our land then. Because the next exit is where we turn off to go to our place." My father said.
"Oh, we didn't know y'all owned the riverside?" Lilly said.
"In a way we do. But my uncle must haven't cared if y'all were there. But just be careful though. I've heard there's been accidents there." My father told them.
"Yea, a few summers ago there was a wild animal attack." Lilly said. "I wasn't there when it happened but I heard it was crazy. Someone said they found a wolf body dead, lying up against the tree line."
"Yea, it was pretty bad. So be careful with your surroundings there. You never know what's gonna pop out." I said.
"Well we ain't scared." Lilly said.
"Speak of yourself Lilly." Cris told her. "But we'll be careful. Hope to see you there, if not it's okay." She said then she grabbed Lilly's hand and went back to the office.

Once the truck was loaded up, my father and I left the shop and went home. The whole time I drove home, I was thinking of that human.

"Mate! Don't call her human!" Adam growled.
"Shut up." I growled back at him.
"So Cris seemed nice huh?" My father asked.
"Who?" I asked.
"The owners daughter. The one that loaded up the truck."
"Oh I never really noticed."
"Please, I saw how you were staring at her. It was like she was your mate." He said as he snorted.
"Well she's not." I said as I gridded my teeth together and tighten my grip on the steering wheel.
"I didn't say she was, I was just saying." My father said.

I rolled my eyes at him.
Once we got back home, a few men were waiting by the pack house for us. They helped unloaded the truck, while I went inside and went into my office. I texted Ryan to come to my office. He was my best friend soon to be my beta. When he got to my office, he sat down on the couch and got on his phone.

"So what's up?" Ryan asked.
"I have a problem." I said.
"No we don't." Adam said.
"What's the problem Adrian?"
"I found my mate."
Ryan dropped his phone of his lap and looked at me. "Excuse me? Repeat what you just said?"
"I found my mate." I said through my teeth.
"Where?"
"The store in town. She's the owner's daughter."
"Oh wow."
"She's human."
"What!?" He exclaimed, questioning. "Are you sure? Maybe she's masking her scent. There's some wolves that do that, especially if they don't want to be found or know what they are. Usually that's also being helped by a witch."
"No, she's human. If she wasn't she would've smelt me as I walked in the room." I told him.
"So what are you going to do?" Ryan asked me.
"I don't know. Adam wants her, but me I don't know what I want. I don't want a human for a mate, especially for a Luna."
"Then reject her." Ryan said.

I growled, well Adam growled at Ryan making him bow down and show his neck.

"I'm sorry Adam. I was just putting out pointers for Adrian. I know how bad you want your mate." Ryan said whining.
"Back off Adam." I growled at him. He growled back then went to the back of my mind. "Sorry." I told Ryan as he stood back up and sat back down on the couch.
"It's cool, I know how it is for us to find our mates." Ryan said.
"She's gonna be close to the land this weekend. Her and her friends are going to the riverside, which we own. So had patrol close by it so rogues won't be getting near there and tell them to stay near but not to close to there. Don't want the humans seeing them." I told Ryan.
"You're gonna stalker her ain't you?" Ryan asked.
"In a way yes, to make sure she's safe. I brought up the attacks there but her and her friend said they wasn't scared. Just keep eyes open for anything." I ordered.
"Yes sir." Ryan said. "Does your dad know?"
"No, not yet. He suspects there is but I told him there wasn't."

Ryan nodded and walked out. I sat there thinking of our mate and how this was gonna play out. A weak human, but she's gorgeous. Dead dropping gorgeous.
