Chapter 25

After getting the dresses and eating out for dinner, Lilly and I had a sleepover at the house to get everything ready for the prom that was this Friday. We got all the makeup out of my closet and tried every way to do our makeup to see how we wanted it. It took a few tries but got it done for how we liked it.
After we were done, we took out showers and laid in bed talking until we fell asleep. We talked about prom mostly and I told Lilly what I heard Lucifer told mom about not having a daughter.

"If only he knew," Lilly said.
"If only, what if he knows? And this is why he's doing it?" I had said.
"Do you think Adrian knows you're his mate and that he told his father?"
"Maybe," I said then turned on my side to look at her. "What if they know and they're afraid to say anything because of what they are?"
"Impossible, why would they do that especially if you're Adrian's mate."
"Maybe because I'm human."
"You're not fully human though. So it shouldn't matter. You just need to come out and say something to Adrian." Lilly told me. "And your mother too."

I nodded my head then turned the other way to go to sleep. But once I did fall asleep, I had dreamless sleep which was sorta good for me but I liked the dreams. They usually tell me how my life is gonna be or how I want it to be. But tonight there was none.
The next few days went by like w blur but they were good days. Jenny told me that Kenny told her that he showed up at my house. Adrian looked up at me when she said that. She told me she was sorry how that went and that she felt bad how I just told him to leave.
I told her while I was standing there, I was day dreaming that I had powers and blew him away off my porch and that bad things happened afterwards. That my mom and Lucifer had snapped me out of my day dream, well mostly my mom. Lucifer stood next to me like he was waiting for something to happen.
Jenny had said m; he is a father and you being a girl and Kenny being the guy, he was ready to jump in front of you or something. That's how fathers are especially over the girls.
When she said that, maybe what he told my mom was true about wishing for a daughter. Well it's about to come true.
By the time Friday came, it was a half day for the seniors that were going to prom. Or whomever was going to prom. Mostly the seniors were going. Adrian, Ryan, Lilly, and I left together since mom dropped us off, she had to be at the store extra early today so she can be one of the chaperone's for prom tonight along with Lucifer as her date, Lilly's parents, and Jenny's parents.
As Ryan drove us to get food to bring home for us, we talk about our colors for us. The boys haven't seen our dresses yet so that was a secret, but we told them they were red.
Once they dropped us off, Lucifer was walking out of the house towards his truck. He waved at us when we pulled in behind him. When me and Lilly got out, he walked over to me and patted me on my shoulder.

"I got to see you before I left, I was just telling your mother that I rented a limo for you guys tonight. And that it will be here with the boys around 6 tonight. I have to rush home and get some paperwork done then come by around 4:30 to pick up your mother to get to the school and help the others out."
"Oh my god," both me and Lilly screamed in excitement a little.

I hugged Lucifer for that.

"Thank you, oh my god tonight is gonna be a blast." Both Lilly and I said.
"Well I guess I'll see you girls later." Lucifer said as he walked over to his truck. "Boys."

The boys nodded at Lucifer then backed up as Lilly and I walked up to the door. We waved goodbye at them for now. When we went in, mom had her hot curlers in her hair with her robe on. Lilly giggled at her when we went into the kitchen.

"Don't tell me you had those in when Lucifer was here?" Lilly asked.
"Yes, I did. It ain't like he hasn't see a woman do their hair before."
"No, but it's embarrassing though." Lilly said.
"Oh get over it. Your father left you a message in the study."
"How did he do that?"
"Magic of course." Lilly said as she pulled me upstairs.
