As we got to prom, we've already had a few pictures taken by our parents and of course the yearbook committee. We were having a very great time. The music was great, the colors were awesome and I was having a wonderful night. We danced to a few songs as a group then dance to a few slow songs as a couple.
After an hour or so it was time to call out for the prom king and prom queen. As the principal came onto stage to call out for our winners, I started feeling weird. My skin started feeling hot all of a sudden. But I ignored it as much as I could.

"Your prom king and queen for this year is, Adrian and Cris. And your prom Dutch and Duchess, is Ryan and Lilly. Congratulations to our winners." The principal had said as she clapped her hands for us to come up on stage to receive our crowns.

They took our pictures once we got our crowns then went back into the floor to do our 1st dance as king and queen for the night. Adrian wrapped his arms around me and we danced. We danced until I started feeling weird again then started getting dizzy. I stopped dancing and pulled away from Adrian for a moment and touched my head and bent over. Lilly and Ryan came over to check on me. Lilly touched me for a second then moved her hand as she said 'ow'.

"Ow, Cris. You're burning up." Lilly said.
"Get mom." I softly said.
"I'll go get your mom." Ryan said as Lilly tried to check on me but she couldn't touch me.

A few moments later, both my mom and Adrian's dad and Lilly's parents came over.

"What's wrong honey?"
"Something's wrong?" I softly said.
"She's burning up, Carrie." Lilly told her.

My mom touched my head and gasped.

"You're really burning up like you're on fire." My mom said.
As she said that I looked up at her. "The book, something's wrong at the house." I said as I felt my skin sizzling.
Lilly's parents gasped. "Her eyes, Carrie the book. It's linked to her so whatever it feels she's feeling it. The house is on fire." Lilly's dad said.
"We can't even touch her without burning ourselves." Lilly said told her parents.
"Ahh," I yelled out but the music covered my screams.

I felt something touch me and it was Adrian wrapping his coat to his tux then lifted me up and carried me out of the gym. We ran to the limo and we all drove to the house.
As we drove to my house I heard them talking but I couldn't pin point everything out. But what I did hear, they were asking Lilly questions.

"What did your dad mean by book. What book is he talking about?" Ryan asked Lilly.
"I can't tell you." Lilly told him.
"Why can't you tell me." Ryan asked. "I'm your boyfriend."
"Because it's not my secret to tell you." Lilly said then gasped. "Oh my god the house."

When she said that, I screamed from feeling like I was being burned alive. When we pulled up, Adrian carried me out of the limo and walked me over to my mom. She ran to me and tried to hold me but she couldn't. I fell over just as the house exploded.

"Cris, you have to call out to the book." Lilly's mom said as she came over to me. "Call for the book."
"I can't." I told her.
"Yes, yes you can." Lilly's mom said. "Feel for it."
"That's all I feel. It's burning."
"I know, but feel it like you're holding it. Breathe and call for it." Lilly's dad said as he bent down to my level. "Lilly get over here. You're her guardian."
"What am I supposed to do." Lilly asked as she came over to us.
"Hold her hand, I know she's hot, but close your eyes both of you and call for the book. See it in your mind like you're holding it and call for it." Lilly's dad told us.

As I felt everyone's hands on me, I did what they told me to do. I could see the book like I was standing in front of it, reading it. But I wasn't in the house, but my eyes were. The book was wrapped in a bubble like a forcefield. I went to touch it and when I did, the forcefield, came down around us and I was brought back to the street with the book in my hands.
