Chapter 27

The next morning, I woke up well rested like nothing had ever happened last night. I remember going to prom with Lilly, Ryan, and Adrian and winning the crowns and that was it. When I got up from the bed, to head over towards the bathroom, I stopped myself and looked around. I noticed this wasn't my room and that my book of shadows was here and not in my study. I started freaking out for a moment. I ran out of the room, into the hall and ran into someone. When I looked it was Ryan.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked me.
"Where am I?"
"You're at our house."
"Whose house?"
"Adrian and mines. Well and our father's. And some of our friends. Are you okay?" Ryan asked me.
"No, I'm freaking out. Why ain't I at my house. Did something happen with Adrian and me. Oh god, my mom's gonna kill me that I didn't come home last night."
"Cris, your mom's here too." Ryan said. "She's downstairs in the kitchen."

When he said that, I ran downstairs as fast as I did to find my mom. When I saw where she was at I ran in there and stopped when she was kissing Lucifer.

"Mom?"
"Hey, honey. How you feeling?"
"I feel okay. Why are we here?" I asked.
"Lucifer had brought us here since the house kinda burnt down. Don't you remember sweetie?" My mom asked me.

Just as I was trying to remember someone touched me and made me jump just as a flash of what had happened last night.
I was at prom with my friends then started feeling hot like I was on fire then rushed home and the house was on fire. Lilly's parents helped me get the book and told me a spell to bring the fire to me and kill it. Then everything went black.
I gasped then my knees gave out on me and lucky someone grabbed ahold of me.

"Sweetie, are you okay?" My mom asked me as she got down on the floor next to me.
"Yes, I remember now. The house was on fire."
"Yes, Lilly's parents helped you summon the book and you said a spell and made the fire go away."
"Mom," I said as I looked at Lucifer then looked up at who was holding me. It was Adrian.
"They know honey. It was kinda hard not to know after last night." My mom said.
"So y'all know I'm a witch now?" I asked them.
"Yes." Adrian said as he helped me up. "And I have something to tell you as well. I'm pretty sure you told Carrie right dad?"
"Yes, dear he told me last night."
"Told you what? What's going on?" I asked.
"Why don't you come sit down in the chair first." Lucifer said as he pulled out a chair.

I walked over to the chair like he told me to do. Once I sat down, my mom handed me a bottle of water and smiled at me.

"Okay, well my father and I and everyone else here that lives on this land are not human. Well we are but we're something more. My father is a lycan and I'm a werewolf and we've already actually met in my wolf form before at the riverbank." Adrian told me.
"The black wolf?"
"Yes, his name is Adam and he's apart of me."
"Adam, huh." I said then opened my bottle of water to take a drink. "So Ryan, he's the brown wolf? And your lycan is black with red tint to it right?"
"Yea, how did you know what my dad's lycan looked like?" Adrian asked.
"I umm, seen him in a vision before thanks to Selene. Do you remember that day that Kenny came over and I told him to basically fuck off, Lucifer?"
"Yea, I didn't like how he was acting. But how does that show you what Luke looks like?"
"In my vision, Selene showed me something if I had done to Kenny and that would've made you two fight. You turned into your lycan and Kenny, he's a vampire."
"Wait what?" Everyone said.
"Are you sure?" Lucifer asked.
"That makes sense when I broke his arm for hurting you. He didn't scream, cry, or anything." Adrian said. Then it was like it dawned on him. "Wait, Selene? You know the moon goddess?"
"Yea, she said she made me for someone. But didn't tell me who but I kinda already have a feeling who it is but I can't because of mom."
"What you mean dear?" She asked me.
"Adrian is my mate that's what Selene told me and if we get together we become powerful as ever. I get stronger than I'm already am. Even dad told me that but he didn't know who I would be with though."
"Oh, I guess that is a problem. Lucifer I guess we have to stop seeing each other then." My mom told him.
"No, me and my son already talked about this. I know I said I would back off but I can't. I'm deeply in love with you and I wanted to ask your hand in marriage but just because Cris and Adrian are mates it actually makes perfect sense."
"Wouldn't that be weird. They be like brother and sister."
"In the human world yes, but in our world no." Lucifer told my mom.
"Oh love." My mom said as she leaned over and kissed him.
"Do you want to take a walk and talk?" Adrian asked me.
"Take a walk yes, but talk no. I kinda want to be alone right now. Can I walk to the riverbank?" I asked Lucifer and mom.
"Yea, just stay east of the river. And I'll have someone watch over you just in case something happens." Lucifer told me.
"Okay. Don't trust me?"
"No it's not that, there's rogues out there and well if they see you as a lovely woman they might think something about it."
