Iris's P.O.V

While driving the hidden streets in Vegas, I tried to think of something to do to take up the time before Lia gets home. I didn't even know where to begin. A few ideas came to mind but, It just wasn't feeling right to me.

I kept driving and driving until I ended up on a particular street that looked familiar. I couldn't pin point where exactly I knew this street from until I saw a sign for a botanical garden. The same one Brendon took me to.

Going to see some beautiful scenery didn't seem like a bad idea, so I kept driving the same route Brendon took when we went. After a short drive, I pulled into the parking lot and parked in a spot close to the entrance.

The keys jingled in my hand while I walked towards the huge sign with a bridge underneath it. Once I was over it, I went up to the ticket booth and bought myself one. I then started my journey into the garden, passing by all of the cacti admiring each of their individual, unique shapes.

After a short walk, I came upon the flower bushes. Which were just as beautiful as I last remembered them. When Brendon brought me here the first time, he somehow made the colors of the flowers pop even more. Brendon just had that... beauty about him.

I turned on my heels and walked over to the rose bush, bending over slightly to smell them quickly. They say scent is one of the strongest senses to bring back memories. It was happening now, as I walked towards the butterfly habitat.

"Oh my gosh, I already know this is going to be magical." I said to Brendon.
"C'mon." He said while grabbing my hand and smiling.

We rounded the corner and were met with a greenhouse. Once we were inside, the sight of all the butterflies was amazing, they flew around every which way. The different colors of their wings started blending together as they did.
"It's so pretty, Brendon." I said while watching in amazement.
"I know." Brendon said smiling at me.

Sitting down on the same bench inside the greenhouse with my hand resting as I did last time, a butterfly came and landed on my hand. It just sat there as it fluttered it's wings a few times before flying off. I wondered what the odds were of it being the same one. Probably slim.

I just sat there for awhile, admiring the beautiful insects. It seemed as if I was glued to the bench and didn't want to get up. But, when I seen more and more groups of people start flooding in, I figured it was about time to go.

I hesitantly got up and took one more look at the gorgeous sight, before leaving the greenhouse. As i left the garden area, I pulled out my car keys and phone, checking the time. I guess more time had passed than I realized because it was already almost three. There was also a text from Lia telling me that she was home and wondering where I was.

I picked up my pace as I made my way out and into the parking lot. I was so excited to see Lia since I missed her this morning. I got back to my car and got in, turning it on followed by some music. I backed up and drove away as I headed back to Lia's house.
