I saw that Renee's desk drawers were covered with all kinds of cartoon stickers. I held back my laughter and dared not make too much noise, for fear that Renee would discover me and stop me from continuing my in-depth exploration.

I looked around pretending to examine the decorations in the office, but my hand carefully continued to pull the drawer open. Finally, in the corner of my eye, I noticed a Polaroid camera in the depths of the drawer, next to which there was a small stack of photos.

I was overjoyed, and immediately made the stack of documents on the table fall deliberately, then casually picked up the photos and pretended to pick up the documents that had fallen, but crouched on the floor to carefully examine the photos in my hands.

I saw that in the photos, Renee was posing in various ways, playing with her selfies, pouting and making cute faces, and even scissor hands.

I desperately suppressed my laughter, this was a good thing, so I quickly took out a few of the most memorable photos and secretly slipped them into my pocket. Finally, I pretended to pick up the documents and sat upright in my office chair.

Of course, I knew that this was a way for Renee to relieve stress, but it was also a stark contrast to her usual self, and it was precisely because of the contrast that it was worth collecting.

Renee, oblivious, kept her head down as she ate, and after a while, she finally said to me, "I'm done."

"Oh," I responded, and very consciously left her office chair. After all, she was the owner of this office, and someone of my quality would definitely not do anything to steal the show.

Renee didn't sit back down in her office chair, but said to me, "You can eat too. The food is still hot, and you can just wash the dishes. Or I can ask my assistant to go to the company cafeteria and get you a set of dishes."

I looked into the lunch box and saw that Renee seemed to be a bit of a picky eater. She hadn't touched several dishes, and since it would be a hassle to go back and reheat the food, I simply ate it here.

I didn't bother washing the tableware that Renee had already used, and I just loaded it up with rice and started eating. This inconsiderate behavior made Renee stare at me for a long time.

While I was eating, I opened the other lunch box that hadn't been opened and said to Renee, "This is the fruit plate I made for you. Eating a small amount of fruit after meals can help with digestion."

Renee took the lunchbox I handed her and said to me in a soft voice, "Thank you for being so considerate of me!"

"Your house is already mine, so this little thing I did for you is really nothing," I said nonchalantly, but I was thinking, "If she knew that I just stole her photos, would she still think I'm considerate?

Of course not, she might even call me shameless. Of course, I'm definitely not going to give her the chance to find out, because I really am shameless.

...

It only took me half the time it took Renee to finish dinner, and I finished packing up the lunch boxes and other things, ready to say goodbye to Renee, because I still had to go to the bar, which was still open for business.

I said to Renee, who was still working, "I'm leaving."

"Wait."

"What's wrong?" I asked, feeling guilty, thinking that Renee had found out that I had stolen her photos.

"I'll go with you."

I was relieved and asked, "Have you finished working?"

"There's nothing particularly important left to do, I'll just tidy up and go," Renee said, pulling open a drawer and putting the documents on the desk into it. This action made me nervous again.

Fortunately, Renee didn't notice that I had moved the drawer. After arranging the documents, she picked up her handbag from the shelf and walked towards me.

I let out a sigh of relief again, but I still had mixed feelings: one really shouldn't do anything one is ashamed of, this feeling of being on tenterhooks is really not good.

Renee and I walked side by side towards the office. I asked her, "Are you going to the bar later?"

"Yeah, to relax a bit," Renee unexpectedly didn't refuse.

I nodded, but then Renee said to me, "We just had dinner, let's take a walk over there, we can also see the snow."

"That's too far! It's across several streets!" I immediately refused.

"If we get tired, we can just take a taxi," Renee insisted

"That's more like it, but let's get one thing straight: you're paying for the taxi."

Renee gave me a glance and said, "Do I have to pay for the meal too?"

I thought for a moment and said, 'Well...no, it's my pleasure to cook for you!"

"I don't understand your logic!' Renee exclaimed, quickening her pace towards the exit, as if she was already tired of the office air.

...

Renee and I finally left the building that belonged to Zhuo Mei. Renee closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Such a simple action, but because of her posture and beauty, it set off the entire icy landscape so beautifully.

I wanted to take out my phone and capture this scene, but Renee had already returned to normal and asked coldly, "What do you want?"

"Don't you think this snowy scene is beautiful? I want to take a picture."

"You can take it, but don't point the camera at me."

Renee's rejection made me more soberly realize: she is so disgusted just taking a picture, if she knows that I stole her picture, she might trick me to go to the countryside near the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway again someday. I have really suffered a lot like this.

After getting along with her for a long time, I found that she is a bit cunning, much more cunning than my obvious badness. Anyway, I don't want to be her opponent.

I smiled sheepishly, put my phone back in my pocket, then put the lunchbox in the car and walked on with Renee, pressing the snow under our feet.

Along the way, Renee took out her compact camera and snapped away, sharing the fun scenes with me. I finally understood why she had to go to the bar on foot, because she was very good at finding the fun along the way and enjoying it. Combined with her behavior of sticking cartoon paper in the office drawer where no one could see it, I really understood how lonely she was, and even more, how she had been living with a heavier-than-others mask.

I sighed softly, feeling pity for her, but really not knowing what I could do for her.

Renee finally put the card camera in her handbag, rolled a small snowball on the ground, and kicked it forward. Her hands were already red from the cold, so she put them near her mouth and breathed in to warm them.

I asked her, "Are your hands very cold?"

"Mm," Renee answered, breathing in between her hands again.

I told myself, "It's all the cold hands' fault." Finally, I mustered up the courage to take her hand.

When our hands met, I suddenly felt a rush of heat in my body. Renee froze in place and then blushed.

I stammered, "Well... I'll hold your hand... My hands are quite... quite warm."

Renee kept her head down and didn't say a word. I felt even more apprehensive, as if I had turned into a man with no experience in love at all. After a while, I mustered up the courage to hold Renee's hand and we walked on... Both of us kept our heads down, too embarrassed to look at each other!
