Of course I knew that by 'plans" Renee meant work, so without thinking too much I said, "After the bar stabilizes, I'll hand it back to Violetta. Based on the current situation, it will stabilize soon, and then I'll find a job and do that."

"You definitely won't consider Jumei, right?"

I smiled and said, "Do you want us to be together and always be bothered by endless gossip? ... Let's just be happy together and not cause trouble for ourselves, okay?"

Renee didn't say anything and fell silent.

I put my hands on her shoulders and said with a smile, "Cheer up! ... You know that even if I go to Jumei, at best it would just be like having another Harlan or Mark, and it wouldn't make much of a difference!"
