It didn't take long for Hermione to spot you moving through the crowd of students. She called out your name, her voice ringing through the room and you made your way over to the three of them and took a seat.

"So? What happened? What did he say?" she asked eagerly.

"What you'd expect from a guy in a relationship," you replied, your tone flat. "He told me that his relationship with Cho is recent, and that he didn't go straight to her right after me."

"Oh," Hermione said, sounding disappointed.

"He also asked if we could still spend time together, like we used to. I told him yes, but honestly, I can't see that happening. Why would I put myself through that again?"

"That's perfectly understandable," Hermione said, giving you a sympathetic look. The two boys sat quietly, clearly unsure of what to say.

"But I'll be fine. I got over Cedric once—sort of—and I can do it again."

"Not to mention, there are plenty of handsome lads here at Hogwarts!" Ron added with a grin.

"I appreciate the sentiment," you replied, "but I don't think it's a good idea for me to see anyone right now. It wouldn't be fair to them—they'd just end up being a distraction from Cedric."

Dumbledore approached the stand, and the hall fell silent. ""Good evening, students! I trust you are all well. I have a rather exciting announcement to make. Due to the splendid success of last year's Triwizard Tournament, we have decided to hold it once more! Now, as always, only those aged seventeen and above may place their names into the Goblet of Fire. As we prepare to embark on another thrilling Tournament, be forewarned: the challenges ahead will not mirror those of last year. If anything, they promise to be even more formidable. Our dear friends from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang shall be joining us once again. However, let us not forget the joy that accompanies such trials. We shall also be hosting the Yule Ball once more. I look forward to seeing each of you embrace the festivities with as much enthusiasm as before. I wish you the best of luck!"

The hall erupted into applause, whistles, and cheers. The students were buzzing with excitement. Hermione caught my eye and nudged me with a grin, "Isn't this exciting? This year won't be too bad, especially since you get to experience the tournament firsthand!"

"Yeah, I suppose you're right. I have to admit, I'm curious to see who'll be representing Beauxbatons".

Dinner wrapped up as Ron stuffed one last heaping forkful of mashed potatoes into his mouth. "Ron, you're going to make yourself sick," Hermione scolded.

"I'll be fine," he mumbled, still chewing.

"Well, time for bed," she said firmly.

The three of them stood up from the table and began making their way back to the Gryffindor common room. "Aren't you coming?" Harry asked, glancing back.

"I'll catch up soon. I just... want to walk around the castle for a bit. You know, get a little more familiar with it so I can find my classes easily."

"Alright, just don't stay out too long," Hermione said with a smile.

Back at Beauxbatons, if you needed to clear your head, your dorm room would suffice. It was a private space where you could retreat into your own thoughts, free from interruptions. You were grateful for Hermione, but you knew that heading back to the common room would mean sacrificing any chance for solitude.

Leaving the Great Hall, you wandered around the castle for a while. It was breathtaking—its spiral staircases were adorned with lively, talking portraits. As you explored, hoping to find a quiet corner, you realized that every spot seemed bustling with activity. Eventually, you noticed two ginger-haired boys snickering and fiddling with something in the corner, looking as if they were up to no good. Curiosity getting the best of you, you hesitated for a moment before tapping one of them on the shoulder.
