Rosma's POV

"There, there my Sweetie, no need to cry, I've got you." The Monster soothed.

With fresh tears on my face, I let the Monster guide me to his seat, I went limp in the Monster's comforting embrace.

"Great, now that you're back, bring me another coffee." Cole demanded.

I ignored him, instead I hid my face in the crook of the Monster's unnaturally blue neck.

"Why, you don't even drink coffee." The Monster retorted, I was so close to him that I felt the vibrations of his hoarse voice.

"Hey, is that anyway to treat a guest and your favourite uncle at that."

I couldn't concentrate on their conversation with my spiralling thoughts.

I don't understand why are those people down there?

I just can't.

Are they bad people?

What could they have done?

Should I help them?

No, I shouldn't let him hold me.

I have to get away.

I have to get away from him.

I will get away from him.

Sometime later Cole must have excused himself for I noticed that he wasn't there anymore.

"Oh, my poor Sweetie, I know just what will cheer you up."

That was non-dairy ice cream, it worked too. I obediently sat on the Monster's lap as he fed me the soft chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips and a chocolate sauce.

"Would you like some sprinkles too, my Dear?"

"Yes, please."

The Monster teleported the sprinkles onto the counter top, he added in a lot of the mint and chocolate sprinkles.

After he fed me the cold dessert we made our way to the living room where Cole and the team were already waiting.

The table is different.

Why is the table even?

"Discipline and punish by Michel Foucault," Cole read from the book he pulled out from under the table leg. "Kinky, my, my, Asstro I didn't know we had this much in common, you could have been my son."

"No, shut up." The Monster answered annoyed with his uncle.

"Who's cooking?" Brocky asked excitedly.

"Lothor." Fire decided as he discarded his half smoked cigarette.

"Hey why me?" Lothor questioned.

"Just go make dinner," Asstro ordered with a tired sigh. "And take Brocky with you."

"Fine, fine," Lothor answered defeated.

"Wait Lothor, I'll come with you." The Archer called after them.

"Dear, please wait here for me while I go discuss something with Fire, and you Cole, you behave."

"Hey, hey what do you take me for?" Cole questioned in obvious fake offense.

"Yes, Asstro, wait can you please bring Carrot?"

Suddenly Carrot appeared on my lap, quickly I made sure that she's okay.
