The panther chameleon (Furcifer pardalis) is a species of chameleon found in the eastern and northern parts of Madagascar in a tropical forest biome.

The Panther is one of the most colorful of all chameleons, particularly the male chameleon. They sport an array of colors that rival a rainbow.

Panther chameleons are insectivores. While they typically feed on crickets, panther chameleons also enjoy eating mealworms, super worms, waxworms, and other captured insects. In the wild, they tend to capture green insects, as other colors like red or black may indicate that the insects are toxic or disgusting.
