Every Shade of You...

After that first call, everything started to shiftslowly but meaningfully.

I found myself talking to you more freely, though there was still a flicker of hesitation in me.

But the change was undeniable.

Day by day, I began to understand you better, and with each passing moment, I felt closer to you.

I often thank God for making you as adventurous as you are.

If it weren't for that spark in you, I would've never had the courage to text you first.

But then, there it was my first text from you.

It was for something related to schoolwork, but that didn't matter.

The fact that you had reached out was enough.

In that moment, I realized I existed in your world.

Maybe not as a friend, but at least as a classmate and that was enough to keep my heart afloat.

Those short conversations with you over text became the highlight of my day.

They were tiny sparks of joy that brightened everything.

You probably didn't even realize it, but your words influenced my mood more than anything else.

And as we continued to talk, I started uncovering little pieces of who you were your likes, your dislikes, and all the unique quirks that made you, you.

With each new discovery, I found myself loving every side, every phase, every shade of you.

Whether it was the way you laughed at silly things, or how serious you became when something really mattered everything felt like a new layer of beauty I had the privilege to explore.

I think I can only capture this phase in these simple lines:

And also the straight ones...

I love your cheeks,

And also the dimples you got...

I love your brown eyes,

And also when they shine blue...

I love your smile,

And also when you got angry...

"Yes, I love every shade of you."

And selfish as it may sound, I don't want to share any of them with anyone else ever.

Because every part of you, every version of you, feels like it belongs right here, in my heart.
