As time passed, a day came when you truly shined like a star.

It was the 22nd of July, 2022, a day I believe was one of the luckiest for you.

You were no longer just our friend; on that day, you became the city topper.

I felt a mixture of happiness and sadness.

Yes, I was sad because my dream of topping the city was shattered.

The dream I had cherished for a year and sacrificed countless nights for.

But at the same time, I was happy because it was you who topped the exam.

Seeing you at the top somehow softened my disappointment.

Even though I had made it to the top 3, my heart ached for what I couldn't achieve.

My family, too, was a bit disappointed, knowing how hard I had worked for it.

Yet, at least it was you standing at the top, and that brought me peace.

I remember exactly how that day unfolded.

We were sitting together at coaching, preparing for the CA Foundation exam while eagerly waiting for the 12th-grade results to be announced.

It had been such a peaceful day, and I was enjoying every moment with you.

But then the news arrived.

The results were out, and you had done it-you topped the city with an astonishing 95%.

I remember how it started drizzling outside, the raindrops gently resting on your face, making it shine even brighter.

Your whole face glowed like pearls under the soft rain, and in that moment, you looked radiant, truly deserving of the success you had achieved.

I saved every newspaper cutting where your picture appeared that day.

I still have them all, because I wanted to preserve those moments of your success forever.

Then came the topper's ceremony, a day that felt like a dream come true for me.

The prize distribution ceremony lasted just an hour or two, but that hour felt like an entire day to me.

It was a moment I had secretly prayed for, over and over.

I remember i was sitting at left side of that hall and you came to sit next to me.

That small gesture made the moment feel even more special.

It was the best hour I had ever spent with anyone.

During that ceremony, I saw you up close, the glow on your face, the charm in your smile, and the sparkle in your eyes.

It was as if the light of your success radiated from within.

And in that moment, I knew that you truly deserved every bit of it.

Though I didn't reach the top like I had dreamed, sitting side to you during that ceremony, seeing your joy, and sharing in your moment of triumph felt like a victory in itself.

It was one of the happiest moments of my life.

And I knew then that no matter how things unfolded in the future.

But I would always treasure that hour we spent together, because, for me, it was the best moment I could have ever wished for.

And that's how i saw my victory in your smile...
