Emily's pov:
Michelle went home early today, and she told me she didn't feel too good, so I called her a cab. But now it's finally time for me to leave as well, but there's a few things I have to do first.I let the dancers go a little early today, but sometimes they go to the free studios to practice on their skills before they leave for the night, or others just hang out in the studio to catch up.
There are a few dancers sitting around studio A right now. They're all split into small groups. However, there are some of them missing...
Before I leave, I need to clear this place so that I can lock up.
I decide to collect my things and leave the office, grabbing their attention so that I can clear the place out.
"All right guys, I know I said you could go home whenever, but I do have to get home at some point, so I'm going to need you guys to clear out." I announce.
As they all pack up their things and make their way out, I decide to ask some of the other girls, "Hey, have you seen summer around?" I ask lily as I know that they're close.
She takes a moment to think before answering, "I think I saw her head towards the locker room? I can go and get her?" She offers.
"No, no, that's okay, I actually need to speak to her, so I'll grab her on my way out." I say.
"Okay." She smiles before leaving.
After all of the dancers have left, I make sure that the place is definitely clear before turning off the lights and making my way out before locking the door.
I make my way to the locker room, hoping to find summer. I do feel like there's something a little more than friendly going on between us, and I need to put it right.
As I walk in, I find her rummaging through her locker for something. "Need some help?" I decide to let her know that I'm her.
"Emily! I uh- didn't see you there.." she says.
I chuckle.
"What are you looking for?" I ask.
"Uhm- nothing- nope- nothing." She says before accidentally slamming her hand in the door of the locker.
"Fuck!" She quickly reacts.
I can't help but laugh a little at her clumsiness before checking on her. "Are you okay?" I laugh.
"I'm good.." she hesitates.
"I'm totally fine..."
"Anyway, why are you here?" She changes the subject.
I'm actually slightly nervous to talk to her about this. I have no idea how she's going to react, and the thought of that is kind of daunting.
"I actually wanted to speak to you before I left."
"Oh, okay. What's up?" She asks.
"Well, I just feel that you and I are a little too close." I begin.
She furrows her brows, "how do you mean?"
"I mean, in a way, that's more rhan friendly." I admit.
"I just needed to let you know that we can't be anymore than friends." I say.
She seems disappointed, "Yeah.. okay."
But as I turn to leave, her voice immediately stops me. "Emily, wait."
She steps closer to me, and I instantly feel something between us. But before I can even begin to think, her arm wraps around my waist as she pulls me in closer, her lips attach to mine, and my body quickly slams against the wall behind me.
I find myself letting it happen before I do eventually push her away. I feel frozen. What on earth have I just done?
"Emily... say something." I hear summer's voice.
As soon as I feel like I can move, I grab my things and rush out of the building to my car.
Once I reach the car, I sit for a while and try to process what just happened.
I just kissed a dancer...
What the fuck have I done?
