Michelle's pov:
In a few days' time, my birthday is coming up and I'm quite excited because I'm planning a huge party and there's going to be tin of people.

I still haven't told emily about my birthday plans, but this is my house too so I'm sure she'll be okay with it.

I've been shopping all morning for party decorations, ordering the food ahead of time and also the best dress that I could find.

I push my way through the front door with all of my bags from shopping, dropping them onto the floor as I kick the door shut.

Emily's attention quickly turns to me, her eyes widen as she walks into the passage way to find all of my bags.

"Do I dare ask what all of this is?" She seems panicked.

"Party stuff." I smile.

She looks down at the top of the bags before saying, "What do you mean party stuff, michelle...?"

I chuckle nervously as I haven't told her about this yet, "suprise..." I say quietly.

"Do not tell me you're planning something for your birthday?" She takes a step back, folding her arms.

"Yeah, a party. This place is going to look amazing." I look around the room, smiling as I see the image of the decorations in my head.

"No, michelle." She tells me.

I furrow my brows, stepping towards her, "What do you mean no?"

"I mean no michelle! You are not a kid anymore you're not having a party in our house." She gets quite upset.

I place my hands on her shoulders, "it's okay em,I'll keep it under control." I promise her.

"I said no michelle. I don't want a party in here. If you want a party, do it somewhere else." She tells me.

She's seems quite anxious at the thought of it, "how- how did you even get the money for all of this!?"

"Michelle, we're barely able to keep on top of our bills. Where did this money come from!?" She panics.

"Hey, listen, it's okay. I had this money put away." I let her know.

I don't really care what emily says, I'm having this party. It's my birthday and I'll celebrate how I want too.

"Michelle, please, no party... just- just go return all of this." She tells me.

I hang my head, pretending like I'm listening to her, "Fine. I'll do it tomorrow." I say.

Tomorrow is her day to work late, that will give me some time to hide all of this when I get home so that she thinks I've returned it.

This party is going to be amazing.

I just know it.
