The soft morning light streamed through the cabin windows as Bella quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to wake Lucas. She freshened up, her mind still warm with the memories of the night before. Stepping outside, the crisp air filled her lungs as she gathered firewood to start a cozy fire.

Back inside, Bella worked in the kitchen, preparing a hearty breakfast. She made buttery meaty croissants, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, and brewed fresh coffee. The rich aromas filled the cabin, and as the scent wafted through the air, Lucas stirred awake, smiling as the smell of breakfast reached him. He stretched lazily and followed the irresistible scent, finding Bella by the crackling fire, her face glowing with the warmth and love she always radiated.

"You always know how to wake me up right," he said, leaning down to kiss her cheek, his voice still thick with sleep.

Lucas smiled, pulling her closer, "Well, I'm not complaining," he teased softly, his lips brushing hers again. Bella chuckled, her eyes sparkling as she whispered, "You deserve to be spoiled." She pecked his lips gently, savoring the sweet moment between them.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into a slow, lingering kiss. "I could get used to this," he murmured against her lips. Bella smiled, her heart warm and full as she rested her head on his chest, feeling completely content in his arms.

Lucas carefully arranged the table, the soft clinking of silverware against plates the only sound in the cabin. Bella moved gracefully around the kitchen, her eyes soft and glowing as she spooned the eggs onto their plates, the scent of the meaty croissants and bacon filling the air with warmth and comfort.

Lucas watched her with quiet admiration. As she handed him his plate, their fingers brushed, and for a moment, the world outside didn’t exist. Just the two of them in this quiet sanctuary, surrounded by the gentle hum of nature and the soft crackle of the wood fire Bella had built earlier.

Bella sat down, Lucas following suit. He reached across the table, gently taking her hand, his thumb slowly tracing circles on her palm. “You didn’t have to do all this,” he murmured, his voice deep and filled with gratitude.

Bella gazed at him, her heart swelling as she whispered, “You deserve to be spoiled.” She leaned over and softly pecked his lips, her touch light but filled with affection. There was something different in the way she looked at him now—like she was finally letting her walls down, allowing herself to fully fall into this connection.

They ate slowly, savoring not just the food, but the peacefulness that wrapped around them. The silence between them wasn’t empty; it was full—of understanding, of shared vulnerability, and of a bond that was only growing stronger. Every glance, every small gesture felt meaningful, as though they were learning to communicate through the simplest of touches.

Lucas smiled softly, his heart full as he watched Bella. "I could get used to mornings like this," he said, his voice filled with something deeper than just contentment—it was a promise.

Bella met his gaze, her fingers still entwined with his. “Me too,” she whispered, feeling for the first time in a long while, that she had found something real. Something worth holding onto.

The morning sun filtered in through the cabin windows, casting a golden glow over the room as they finished their breakfast, wrapped in the quiet intimacy of a new beginning.

As Lucas finished the last sip of his coffee, his phone buzzed on the table. He picked it up, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips when he saw Elizabeth’s name flash across the screen. He opened the message and read it out loud to Bella, chuckling as he did.

"‘I need baby Lucas and baby Bells ASAP. You two owe me,’" he said, the amusement evident in his voice. He shook his head and added with a grin, "Elizabeth is relentless."
