After spending a week wrapped up in each other's arms, exploring the depths of their love and passion, Lucas and Bella packed their bags, ready to head home. Their time together had been nothing short of magical—filled with moments of tenderness, laughter, and intimacy that would forever remain etched in their memories. The cabin had become a sanctuary for their hearts, but now it was time to return to the world outside, with the love they had found as their guide.

As they drove back, the beautiful scenery that had once been a breathtaking escape now felt like the backdrop of a memory they would both cherish forever. Bella reached over, intertwining her fingers with Lucas’s as the sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a golden glow on the road ahead.

"That was perfect," Bella whispered, glancing over at Lucas. "I’ll never forget this week."

Lucas smiled, his grip on her hand tightening slightly. "Neither will I. It was exactly what we needed—to just be us, away from everything. But now, I think we’re even stronger, more sure of what we have."

Bella nodded, her heart full of warmth. They were heading back to reality, but this time they weren't returning as just two people—they were a team, a unit that would face whatever challenges came their way, together.

As the city came into view, the quiet sense of peace lingered between them. Their getaway had been a beautiful pause in their lives, a moment to savor, but now they were ready to step forward, carrying with them the love they had discovered in each other.

"I can’t wait to see what’s next," Bella said softly, leaning her head against Lucas's shoulder. "With you, it feels like anything is possible."

Lucas kissed the top of her head, a content smile on his lips. "It is, Bella. It really is."

After dropping Bella off, Lucas made his way back home, the warmth of their week together still fresh in his mind. He entered his apartment and immediately started unpacking, sorting through his clothes and preparing to throw a load in the wash. Everything felt lighter now, like a weight had been lifted from his chest. He was in love, and for the first time in a long time, life felt like it was moving in the right direction.

As he was about to start the washing machine, the doorbell rang. Surprised, Lucas wiped his hands on a towel and went to answer it. When he opened the door, there stood his ex, Amy, her face streaked with tears.

"Lucas, I need to talk to you," she said, her voice shaky, clearly hoping for comfort.

Lucas sighed, his expression hardening as memories of the past flooded back. The betrayal, the lies, and the pain she caused still lingered, but they no longer held the same power over him. He had moved on, and more importantly, he had Bella now.

"I’m not letting you inside, Amy," he said firmly, keeping the door halfway closed. "Whatever you have to say, you can say it here."

Amy sniffled, wiping at her face. "I messed up, Lucas. I know I did. I... I thought maybe we could talk, maybe try to fix things."

Lucas shook his head, his resolve solid. "There's nothing to fix, Amy. We’re over. You made your choices, and I made mine. I’ve moved on with my life, and I’m happy now. There’s nothing left between us."

Her eyes widened, the tears threatening to spill over again. "But... Lucas, the baby—"

"Isn’t mine," he cut her off, his tone even. "I know it’s Marlon’s, and that’s something you need to deal with on your own. I’ve given you all the closure I can. You need to let go, Amy. I have."

She stared at him for a long moment, realizing that the door she had kept open in her mind had finally closed for good. "I’m sorry, Lucas. I really am," she whispered.
