(AUTHOR'S POV)
Taehyung and Jennie's relationship was once a beacon of hope and love, captivating the hearts of millions. However, the harsh glare of fame and the relentless pressure of their careers took its toll.
One fateful night, Taehyung's resolve crumbled. "Jennie, I think we should break up," he said, his voice laced with regret.
Jennie's eyes widened in shock. "Why? We're happy, aren't we?"
Taehyung sighed, rubbing his temples. "My career is taking off. I need to focus on that."
"But what about us?" Jennie's voice cracked.
"We can't balance our careers and relationships. It's too stressful," Taehyung insisted.
Jennie's face fell. "You're choosing fame over me?"
"I'm choosing stability," Taehyung corrected. "For both of us."
Jennie shook her head, her voice barely audible. "If I ever see him again... I don't know if my heart can take it."
Taehyung didn't notice Jennie's whispered words, too caught up in his own guilt.
"You're really doing this?" Jennie asked, her voice laced with pain.
"I'm sorry, Jennie. I truly am," Taehyung said, his eyes avoiding hers.
Jennie's eyes blazed with anger and sadness. "You'll regret this, Taehyung. You'll regret losing me."
Years passed, and Taehyung's regret grew. He realized too late that fame wasn't worth losing Jennie.
Desperate to rekindle their love, Taehyung searched for Jennie, finally finding her after months of searching. But Jennie ignored his calls and messages.
One day, Jennie's friend Rosé intervened.
"Jennie, you've been avoiding Taehyung's calls for months," Rosé said gently. "Maybe it's time to hear him out."
Jennie raised an eyebrow. "Why should I?"
"Closure, maybe?" Rosé suggested. "He's been trying to contact you for so long."
Jennie shrugged. "I'm good."
Rosé leaned in. "Come on, Jennie. Just one meeting. Let him say his piece."
Jennie smirked. "And why would I do that?"
"Because," Rosé said, "you deserve to tell him exactly how you feel."
Jennie chuckled dryly. "If I meet him, I'll die that fast?"
Rosé laughed. "Don't say that, Jennie!"
Jennie's grin faded. "Seriously, Rosé. I don't know if my heart can take it."
Rosé's expression softened. "I'll be with you, every step."
Jennie sighed, her resolve weakening. "Fine. One meeting."
The day of the meeting arrived, and Taehyung's nerves were on edge. As Jennie walked into the room, his heart skipped a beat.
"Jennie," he whispered, pulling her into a tight hug. But when he pulled away, Jennie's nose was bleeding, and her eyes were closed.
"Jennie! Oh God, Jennie!" Taehyung screamed, panic setting in. He rushed her to the hospital.
Taehyung's world crumbled as he held Jennie's hand, her life slipping away.
"Jennie, please don't leave me," he whispered, tears streaming down his face.
Desperate for support, Taehyung called Rosé, his voice shaking.
