The discovery of the forbidden zone shakes the group to its core. The strange console, with its cryptic symbols and eerie blue light, seems to pulse with an energy that unnerves even Mike, who has led them this far. "We shouldn't be here," Sarah says, her voice cracking with strain. She backs away from the console, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. "Whatever happened here—whatever your brother was involved in, Mike—this place is cursed. We need to leave. Now."
Mike, still staring at the console, doesn't answer right away. He can feel the pull of it, an almost gravitational force that makes it impossible to look away. "We can't leave," he mutters, barely audible. "Not until we know the truth."
Sarah's frustration boils over. "The truth? The truth is that we're in over our heads! You dragged us down here without telling us everything. You put us in danger, Mike!"
Jake, who had been unusually quiet since their encounter with the spirits, steps forward, his face pale. "She's right, man. You've been holding back from the start. If we had known about your brother, about what this place meant to you, maybe we could've planned better. But now..." He gestures helplessly to their surroundings, to the dark, twisted structures that seem to close in on them. "Now we're stuck in a nightmare, and I don't know if we're getting out."
Mike finally turns to face them, his eyes hard. "You think I wanted this? You think I knew what was going on down here? I didn't have a choice! I needed to find out what happened to him. And now that we're this close, you want to run?"
His words hang in the air, and for a moment, the only sound is the soft hum of the base. Sarah takes a step forward, her face set in grim determination. "Yes, Mike. I want to live."
Her words hit Mike like a slap, and the rift between them becomes unmistakable. Trust, already strained, shatters completely in that moment. The weight of unspoken fears and hidden agendas hangs over them like a dark cloud, and the group's fragile unity begins to unravel. Each of them, driven by their own fears and motivations, realizes that they can no longer rely on one another as they once did.
