EPILOGUE
Leave This Place Behind

Tavia watched her padawan from the other side of the room with crossed arms over her chest. She smiled. Taylsyn's fighting style was a combination of two, she had Tavia's offense side, but she learned a thing or two from Obi-Wan about simple defense. Tavia grabbed a pilot's helmet and walked over to Taylsyn.

"What am I gonna do with this?"

"You're gonna put it on your head and use your lightsaber to block the lasers from that droid." Tavia answered simply, handing the helmet out for her padawan to take.

Taylsyn furrowed her brows but listened to the instructions. "How am I supposed to see anything?"

"Just... feel." Tavia wasn't really sure how to word it. Tavia heard a quiet and interruptive cough beside her. She tore her attention away from Taylsyn and saw Obi-Wan standing there with a small grin. "What are you doing back here?" Tavia tried to hide the happiness in her voice.

    Obi-Wan shrugged.

"Where's Anakin?" Tavia asked. "I know Lennox is with Scar..." She said somewhat sadly, having known the problem.

"Yes, well, Padmé is currently welcoming Anakin back. So, I figured I should see you. Taylsyn's getting better at defense." Obi-Wan observed.

Then Taylsyn got shot in the shoulder with a laser. Tavia's eyes widened, "T–"

"I'm fine. I mean, I don't love getting shot in the shoulder with a laser, but I'll live." She replied, taking the helmet off. "Master Kenobi, you're back." Taylsyn noticed, quickly glancing between the two elder Jedi.

Taylsyn knew something was up with Obi-Wan and Tavia, just like how Ahsoka would say there was something between Padmé and Anakin.

"Alright, go take a break. Study with Ahsoka." Tavia instructed. Taylsyn grinned and ran out of the training room. "Why are you smiling?"

"You said you'd never be a Jedi."

    "I'm a Grey Jedi, alright?"

"And you have a Padawan." Obi-Wan added.

Tavia rolled her eyes, "you're an absolute pain in the ass." Tavia said with her arms crossed over her chest.

Obi-Wan glanced around, making sure no one was around. Then he quickly planted a kiss on Tavia's lips. He pulled away and sighed, "something's wrong, isn't it?"

"I have a really bad feeling about what's gonna happen. I don't trust Palpatine."

"I know. You and Scar have made it abundantly clear neither of you like him. To be honest, I don't trust him either." Obi-Wan told her.

Tavia glanced at him then made her way out of the training room.

More time had passed, and Tavia found herself being right, not that she loved it this time.

Tavia sat at the table with the others. She was still wrapping her head around Scar's death, then Lennox & Padmé's deaths, and in addition to that, Anakin turning to the darkside. They were all trying to decide who was going to take Kat, Frey, Luke, and Leia. Tavia and Obi-Wan glanced at each other. Both knew this would separate them, but maybe only for a little while. Bail spoke up and said he and Breha would gladly take Leia and Frey. That way Lennox's son and Anakin's daughter could grow up together.

It was then decided that Kat, Scar & Lennox's daughter, and Luke, Anakin & Padmé's son, would live with their Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen. Tavia would watch over and train Leia and Frey while Obi-Wan would keep an eye on Kat and Luke.

Tavia stood outside the ship. "I always hated flying. It always meant having to leave."

Obi-Wan took Tavia's hand in his. "Someday we'll see each other again."

"I feel like Leia's gonna be an adventurer. She's gonna be the cause of it."

"I have a strong feeling Kat will be a version of her mother." Obi-Wan replied to Tavia.

"I found out I have a half sister. Her name is Lyra. She has a daughter, Jyn." Tavia told Obi-Wan. "I'm an Aunt." She said, trying to ignore the heartache she was feeling.

Obi-Wan stared at her. "We'll see each other again, you know we will, Tavia Kenobi."

"You know, you got angry at Anakin for doing this with Padmé."

    "It's different."

Tavia gave Obi-Wan one last kiss, then stepped into the ship. She closed her eyes and awaited the day that she'd see Obi-Wan again.
