{Okay, so I had to do this. Colette has some 'splaining to do, and here it is!}
I walk into Wake, having slipped my heels on mere seconds before walking in. I look around, spotting Max quickly. I walk over to him, trying not to draw too much attention to myself.
"Hey." I say quietly, causing him to look up at me from his phone.
"Hi." He says, smiling.
"Whatchya doing?" I ask, taking the seat in front of him.
"Just checking YouTube." He says before locking his phone.
"Fun." I say, looking around the shop.
"Why'd you say your name was Andie yesterday?" He asks and I sigh quietly.
"I didn't want the people there to know it was me." I say, looking at the table.
"Why not?"
"Because, I'm not the girl you want me to be. I'm not the same girl from that day we kissed." I say, raising my voice at first and then lowering it.
"I don't want you to be the girl from that day. I want you to be the girl who dances for me, and writes notes so I can write song lyrics; I want you to be my girl." He says, making me look at him.
"What if-what if I don't want to be that girl.." I say quietly.
"What girl do you want to be?" I shrug, looking at my hands again.
"You can be any girl you want to be. It doesn't matter to me."
I sigh, "I want to be the girl who's not afraid to speak up; who can easily say what's on her mind; the girl that when a guy talks to her, she doesn't blush. That's the girl I want to be."
"That's the girl you can be." He says, right as Zayn walks in.
"Great." I mutter, ducking down.
"Why are you hiding?" Max asks, confused.
"Zayn's here to take me home so I can wash off all my makeup." I say, rolling my eyes.
"He can't make you go home." Max says, shaking his head.
"On the contrary. He's quite a bit heavier than I am, and a lot stronger." I say, smiling at Max.
"I won't let him." Max says and my eyes go wide as Zayn walks over to us.
"I can't let you do that." I say, grabbing Max's arm before he stands up.
"Yes, you can." He says, standing up as I slumps down.
"Where is she?" Zayn asks Max. I bite my lip to suppress a giggle as I see that Max is a good two inches taller than Zayn.
"Not with me." Max lies, looking Zayn in the eye.
"Bull-" Max cuts him off before Zayn finishes the word.
"She's not here, now go." Max says, sternly but not rudely.
"If you see her, tell her I'm looking for her." Zayn says before walking out of the shop.
"That was close." I breathe and Max turns to me.
"What was that all about?" He asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Zayn wanted me to change and take off all of my makeup." I say innocently.
"That's why he was mad?" He asks, shocked.
"He's a bit protective of me, and considering I'm only seventeen, he can get a bit carried away." I say, biting my lip.
Max rolls his eyes and lightly pushes me towards the door, "Go home and make up with him."
I sigh quietly, walking towards the door, "Thank you." I call out to him before leaving.
