I walk into my apartment living room, shoes in hand, my pink chiffon dress swaying as I walk. I've got on a pink chiffon one shoulder, my hair is done in a waterfall, falling down on my back in waves. The doorbell rings and I go to open it, tying my pink and black authentinc hi-sneakers.
"Hey." I say smiling, as Max pulls me into a hug. I notice he held back on the cologne.
"I got these, for you." He says holding out some pink roses. I take them, pulling him into my apartment as I grab an empty vase, pouring water into it and placing the flowers in there.
"Thanks." I say smiling.
"No problem. You ready?" He asks and I nod, grabbing the clutch that matches my dress. It contais lip gloss, my phone and some money.
He steps out of the doorway and I close and lock the door, before joining him at the elevator. He taks my hand and pulls me to him as the elevator doors close.
"Hey there." He says and I smile.
"Hey." I say and he laughs.
"So, what movie should we see later?" He asks and I shrug, not wanting the elevator doors to open.
"Okay, we'll decide when we get there." He says and I laugh, moving as the elevator doors open but, he pulls me back to him.
I squirm under the watchful eyes of a business man.
"Hey, it's okay." Max whispers in my ear. I continue to squirm until I'm out of Max's grasp an then run out as the elevator doors open. I sit down on one of the benches in the lobby, embarrassed.
"What happened?" He asks, sitting beside me.
"That guy just kept watching us. It scared me." I say, sighing quietly.
"A lot of people are going to be watching us from now on." He says and I squirm some more.
"I don't like people watching my every move. It makes me move like a robot." I say and he laughs.
"You do just fine when someone's watching you." He says and I look at him.
"How do you know?" I ask, laughing. He chuckles, standing up, taking my hand and pulling me up.
"Because people watch you all the time. I see it when you leave the studio. People are just attracted to you and the fact you smile at them like you know them, creates a lot of attention." He says and I go quiet.
"I didn't know that." I mumble as he laces our fingers together.
"Well, how about we go to dinner and then to see a movie?" He suggests and I nod, smiling.
There's never a dull moment on our date. Max keeps me laughing through dinner and for the movie we go and see Hotel Transylvania.
"That was so cute." I say, laughing.
"It was." He agrees, his hand comforting and warm in mine.
"I think I'm going to adopt Mavis' style." I say, making a serious face. Max starts laughing so I glare at him.
"I'm sorry, but I do the serious face way better." He says and I roll my eyes.
"Whatever." I say, as he swings our arms. We're walking to his car so he can take me home, so I can get a good night's sleep before my dance recital tomorrow.
"Oh, I can't make morning rehearsal tomorrow. Or afternoon rehearsal." I say, remembering my recital.
"Recital?" Max asks and I nod. He nods too and I laugh.
"You look adorable when you nod." I say and he winks at me, causing me to blush.
"You blushed!" He says excitedly.
"Wow, Max." I say, laughing.
"What?" He asks and I smile.
"You got excited because I blushed." I say and he rolls his eyes.
"I did." He confirms, putting his arm around my shoulders.
"Your silly." I say, making a face.
"No, you are." He says and I smile, my arm around his waist.
"Whatever, Mr. Silly Monkey." I say and he kisses me on the cheek.
"Here we are, Mi'lady." He says, opening the car door for me.
"Thank you, kind prince." I say, smiling as he gets in the drivers side and starts the car.
We drive in a comfortable silence, the music from the radio playing softly as we think.
"Y'know, I've been thinking." He says as he pulls into the parking lot of my apartment complex.
"That can't be good." I joke, but his face is serious.
"I think we need to tell the press we're dating. Sooner rather than later." He says and I sigh.
"Max, I can't do that. Besides I want to be famous for my dancing or my playing, not because I'm your girlfriend." I say and he looks at me, his warm brown eyes, kind and inviting.
"Being known as my girlfriend will help you reach those goals, making you even more famous." He says and I shake my head.
"No, I want to start as a dancer, become famous and then be known as Colette, famous dancer and Max Schneider's girlfriend. Tomorrow could be my chance. We can't tell the press or your fans, just yet." I say, knowing he's going to say we should at least tell his fans.
"C'mon Colette, what happens if a girl tries to kiss me on the tour because she thinks I'm single?" He asks and I look at him weirdly.
"Then I ignore it and go about my business." I say and he gives me the weird look back.
"You won't be jealous?" He asks and I shrug.
"I will be, but I'll have to contain it. It's a part of being a famous person's secret girlfriend." I say and he gives me another weird look.
"How do you know that?" He asks and I give him a blank look.
"You told me." I say and he shakes his head.
"Okay. Well, I've got to go. I'll see you tomorrow before your concert." I promise, opening the door and then leaning over for a kiss. I start to get out of the car when he grabs my arm and gently pulls me back in.
"Just think about telling the press. Please?" He asks, so I nod, even though I know I won't.
"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow." He says and I get out of the car and wave, then head up to my apartment.
