There's not a quiet moment as we walk to the cafe we're meeting everyone at. Max won't tell me the name of the cafe, even though I bug him about it a lot.

"You'll love Cymphonique. You and her both love fashion." Max says and I shake my head.

"No, I like to look fashionable, but, trust me, my style is more vintage than anything. I also hate shopping." I say and he looks at me like I'm nuts.

"Still, you'll love her. And Samantha, she's really sweet. But, I'm pretty sure you'll be the sweetest one there." He says winking at me,

"Max, if you keep flirting, the girl's gonna turn into a tomato." Noah says laughing at my face which is probably as red as a tomato.

I look down at the ground as Max chuckles quietly.

"I've never seen a girl blush this much. Is it normal?" Noah asks. I glare at him and he puts his hands up in an 'I-Surrender' motion'

"It's normal for me." I snap, folding me arms across my chest.

"Someone's cranky." Max says chuckling lightly.

"I don't like being teased about my blushing." I reply walking ahead of them.

"I don't think you should have done that." Noah says to Max quietly.

"It was a joke. Besides you started it." Max says, his voice tight with frustration.

"She likes you more, go fix it." He says as I turn around.

"Guys, drop it, I'm fine, just a little sensitive. Now, where's the cafe we're eating at?" I ask with my hands on my hips.

Max points behind me and I turn to see the Corner Street Cafe.

"Uh, I-I'm sorry, but I have to go. I'll eat with you guys another time. Sorry!" I stammer as I turn back to them and then start walking quickly away. But, since I'm in high heels, I can't run and Max is taller than me, so it takes no time for him to catch up.

"What's wrong?" He asks standing in front of me.

"Nothing. W-why would something be wrong?" I ask nervously.

"Because the only other time I've seen you this nervous was when you auditioned for me, and that was months ago." He said crossing his arms over his chest.

"I can't go into that cafe." I say as I sit down on a bench nearby.

"Why not?" He asks sitting beside me.

"Too many memories." I reply looking around at the shops around me.

"We can create new ones." He says taking my hand. I had to tell him about finding out about Chandler because the morning after I did I showed up to the studio with puffy eyes and I looked terrible.

I turn to say something but I find that he's leaned closer to me.

"Do you trust me?" He asks quietly. I can feel his breath on my cheek and I nod.

He leans forward and kisses me, gently.

"Now, how about lunch?" He asks and I smile at him.

"I'm willing to try." I reply happily

"Then come on!" He says standing up and holding out his hand. I slip mine in his and stand up.

"And what happened between you two?" Noah asks when we get back.

"Nothing." I say as Max says "We kissed."

"You guys kissed?" Noah asks slowly.

"Okay, yes, but it's not a big deal." I reply quietly

"Not a big deal?" Max asks, stunned and upset.

"Yeah, look, I'd love to go to lunch with you guys, but I have to get to school, kay? Bye." I said walking back to where I parked my motorcycle.

As I ride the streets to my school, I see couples all around me. It makes me want what they have. I deserve to be happy too, right?

As I park my bike and hop off, taking my helmet off and tucking it under my arm, I spin around, coming face to face with Adam.

"Woah, slow down." He says laughing. I push past him, not in the mood for anyone's jokes.

"What's wrong?" He asks, catching back up with me.

"Just some boy drama." I say, not slowing my quick pace. If I don't hurry, I'm going to be late for homeroom.

"Oh? Hey, I have something I need to tell you. Find me after school?" He asks, his eyes shining.

"Sure. I'll meet you at my bike." I say and then walk to my homeroom class, wishing school would just hurry up and be done with.

4 Hours Later

As I walk out of my last period class and open my locker, someone grabs my butt. I turn around to see Aaron, Chandler and some of their friends.

"What do you want?" I ask turning around and exchange my books for my purple helmet. I grab my purple and black leather jacket and put it on, turning around to face them.

"I want you." Aaron says backing me up against the locker.

"Whatever, dufus." I say and push him off me, easily.

"You're gonna regret that." Aaron yells as I walk out the door.

"Whatever!" I yell back, hopping on my bike and revving the engine. I ride back to the studio, enjoying the freedom that I have and silently thanking the men who fight for our country. I stop and hop off my bike, a couple blocks away, taking off my jacket, helmet and boots that I wear when I ride. I pull out my gray wedges and slip them on, remembering my dance shoes still tucked into the side of my bag.

As I walk up to the studio I see Noah walking out.

"Hey Noah!" I say, smiling.

"Hey Colette." He says and then walks to his car.

"See you in the morning?" I ask, pausing before I go in.

"You got it." He says, winking at me. I laugh, wave and walk into the studio, smiling as I see Max sit down at the piano. Then I take my chance, and walk up behind him..
