"Where are you going?" Max asks, watching me lean on my crutches.

"The doctor. I get my casts today." I say, not bothering to let him in.

"I really need to talk to you." He says, running his hand through his hair.

"I can't be late for my appointment." I say, sighing as he looks at the ground.

"I'll drive you." He says and I shake my head.

"My rides waiting for me but, I'll call you when I get the chance." I say and he looks up immediately.

"Okay, babe." He says and I hop to the elevator, blushing.

"Bye." I say and before I know it, he's leaned in and looking into my eyes, smiling flirtatiously.

"I missed you." He says and then kisses me. It's not a peck, but it's not a makeout session. It's one of those 'make-you-want-more' dizzying kisses.

He waves as the door closes and I just stand there, dumbfounded while he wears a smug, amused expression.

I hop over to Nikki's  car and open the back door, tossing my crutches in. I hop to the passenger seat and climb in, sighing.

"Boy issues?" She asks after taking one look at my dazed expression.

"Uh-huh." I mumble, fidgeting with the hem of my shirt.

"What's his name?" She asks, pulling out of the parking lot.

"Max." I say, smiling as I picture his handsome face. His loving brown eyes, curly brown hair that always looks perfect. His lips, that feel so sweet on mine, but can be so intense. I shake my head and Nikki laughs.

"How's little Adrian?" I ask, looking at her bulging baby bump.

"A kicker. He's gonna be an amazing soccer player." She says and I smile.

"Just like me." I say, laughing.

"You were pretty good, till you gave up for dancing." She says and I cringe.

"Hey, dancing is a sport. It takes a lot of work." I say and she laughs.

"Yeah, but soccer is a fighting sport, and we all know you like to fight." She says and I nod, enthusiastically.

"That's why I did kick-boxing as a teen." I say and shenods, pulling into a parking space.

"Do you need me to go inside?" She asks and I shake my head.

"Nah, do you have anything you need to get?" I ask and she nods.

"Then go get it. I'll call you when I'm done." I say and she nods, waiting for me to get my crutches before driving off.

Four hours later.

I walked out of the hospital, my arm infront of me, limping awkwardly. On my right leg, I have a Freedom Leg Walking Brace, to keep me from using my knee, and on my left, I have a black walking boot with a little blue ball at the top. On my right arm, I have a bright pink full arm cast. All in all I look like I got in a terrible accident.

"Wow." Nikki says as I get in her car, holding myself akwardly.

"Tell me about it." I say, grumpily.

"So, no riding your bike for how long?" She asks and I groan.

"At least four months. Maybe five or six." I say and she gives me a sympathetic look.

"Why don't you just go on tour with that boy?" She asks and I give her a confused look.

"Hun, Carlos knows everything, mostly because the boy saw him talking to you and so he came and asked Carlos what to do." She says and I sigh.

"Because one, I'm still making no money, two, I don't know what I'd do." I say, quietly.

"You could go and keep him happy, make sure he does what he's told, keep him out of trouble. And I'm sure, the boys manager would be more than happy to have his girlfriend do it than a babysitter." She says and I smile, taking out my phone.

"Thanks, Nik." I say as she pulls up to my apartment building. She stops and I reach over to hug her,and give her a kiss on the cheek.

"Call me when little Adrian's coming." I say and send her a cute wink, as she laughs and rolls her eyes.

"I will. Bye Colette." She says and I close the door, waving as she drives away. I start walking up to my apartment, phone pressed to my ear, deciding what to say.

"Colette?" Max asks, his voice thick with sleep.

"Hey, can you come over?" I ask, smiling.

"Sure, when?" He asks, all evidence of sleep disappearing.

"Soon." I say, happily, unlocking my apartment door.

"Okay, I'll see you then, babe." He says and I push open the door, only to drop the phone, shocked.

"Colette? You there?" He asks, but I can't respond because a masked man has his hand over my mouth and the world is fading, blurring around the edges, and then going dark completely.
