Zhan couldn't quite explain why it felt so heavenly in this man's arms. The soaring music is not a waltz but a tango. The tango is much more difficult to dance than the waltz. And never in his life had he danced the tango. But it was surprising that his legs did not fail even once. The man led him smoothly, and Zhan felt like he was floating in the arms of someone he barely knew.

"Do you know the title of the song we were dancing to?" the man whispered to Zhan while spinning closer. The warmth of his breath against Zhan's ear sent a shiver down his spine.

"S-so tell me..."

"Kiss of Fire," the man replied with a playful grin while twirling him around.

"Oh..." Zhan let out a soft gasp.

"You have fiery hair, My Sweeheart. Do your kisses have fire too?" The man's tone was playful. And the smile on his lips is mischievous.

"You are very forward..." Zhan hissed softly, glancing around nervously. Worried that someone might have overheard the guy's comments. Just moments ago, his father announced his engagement to Wangyin and here he was listening to another man's flirtation.

"Come on, Xian, let's escape this crowd," the man said as if he could read Xian's thoughts. He gracefully moved away from the crowd.

And Zhan couldn't refuse as they made their way out of the crowd. And in a few moments, they were on the balcony, where the hall's light barely reached.

"We-we shouldn't be out here," Zhan protested weakly., his voice barely above a whisper. "Wangyin is going to come looking for me..."

"I really doubt you're concerned that your fiancé is out searching for you, Xian." The dim lighting from the hallway made the man attractive face appear even more mysterious.

"How can you talk like that?" Zhan's eyes widened slightly at what the man said. "My father just announced our engagement!"

"You don't really love him," the man said gently but Zhan could hear the emphasis under the voice. Zhan was taken aback by the man's boldness, and as the man moved closer, he instinctively placed his hands on the man's chest. "I know you have feelings for me too, Xian, just like I do..."

"Please, just give me some space... I don't even know who you are!" Zhan exclaimed.

The man's brows furrowed for a moment before his smile reappeared. "You don't know me? How can you pretend like that, my love? Is this your way of pushing me away? I'll show you that what you say with your lips doesn't match what your heart feels..." He leaned closer and Zhan knew he was going to kiss him.

Zhan was just about to lean on, craving the man's kiss, when he caught a glimpse of a shadow lurking at the balcony entrance out of the corner of his eye.

He quickly averted his face, but the man's lips caught the corner of his lips. He pushed the man with all his might and hurried into the house. He passed the girl he first met in his room. Wen Qing.

He was planning to go to his room, but before he could reach it, Wen Qing pulled him back by the arm.

"What you're doing isn't right,"She accused. "What if Wangyin had been the one here instead of me?"

"I-I'm not up to anything wrong," he defended. He didn't like what was happening. In his damned dream, he found himself attracted to a handsome stranger. Why did his dream take so long? Why couldn't he just wake up already?

"Do you think this is not wrong enough? He was just about to kiss you and you probably would have kissed him back if you hadn't seen me at the door!"

"You have no right to-!"

"You two are just here," Wangyin showed up with a smile as he approached them. "Come on, it's way too early to be thinking about taking a rest. The fun is not over yet. And you, Wen Qing, and the others are feeling down because you're not with them..."

"Go ahead and dance with your fiancé, Wangyin," Wen Qing said, staring meaningfully at Zhan. "And make sure you stick by his side." With that, she hurried off to her room.

"Did you two fight?" asked Wangyin

Zhan shook his head as his gaze followed Wen Qing. "N- no..." He turned back to Wangyin. "Let's head to the hall..."
