"Zhoucheng wants to talk to you," Zhan told his cousin when they were alone in her room after dinner.

"I don't want to talk to him, Zhan," Ziyi shook her head firmly. "It's over between us. And if Yibo finds out, it could lead to some serious issues."

Zhan kept his gaze locked on his cousin, trying to read her emotions. She had a look of determination that puzzled him. He couldn't wrap his head around how Ziyi, who had practically shouted her love for Zhoucheng, could just move on to another guy like that. Zhan let out a sigh.

"You know Zhoucheng woo me before you, right?"

Ziyi glanced at him. "So?"

Zhan shrugged and said, "You know, over the last couple of days we've spent together, I really got to know Cheng. I kind of attracted to him..."

Ziyi was momentarily stunned. With her gaze lowered, she stammered, "h-he's a good guy. I-I'd be happy if... if he could turn his attention back to... you." Then she got up and headed for the door without looking back. "I-I'm going to my room," she said. Zhan was left grinning; maybe there was still hope.

When Zhan woke up the following day, he was still staring out the window. His yawns faded away as soon as he noticed Yibo in the stable. He dashed out of his room, worried he might have missed him. Rushing out of the villa, made his way to the stable, where Yibo was busy fixing the saddle on the big horse.

"G-good morning..." Zhan greeted cheerfully.

Yibo turned around from saddling the stallion, his brows furrowing in surprise at the sight of Zhan. He had literally just rolled out of bed, still in his comfy cotton pajamas. The sweet, warm scent of Zhan wafted through the air, filling his senses. Zhan was smiling. And just as he thought, Zhan's smile was captivating, and Yibo couldn't help but think that whoever came up with the word 'enchantment' must have had Zhan in mind. His hair was a total mess, and his face looked like he hadn't bothered to freshen up. But that didn't make him any less handsome. He was like a Greek statue brought to life, a true work of art, possibly by Praxiteles.

"G-going somewhere?" Zhan asked, his voice still husky from sleep.

Yibo tilts his head a bit, clearing his mind from strong and unwanted desire, he nods absentmindedly. He was literally speechless and was totally mesmerized at the sight of Zhan.

"Are you heading out for a horseback ride?"

Yibo gave another nod.

"I-I don't want to bother Aunt Carmen. Can you drop me off at the hotel?"

With that, Yibo seemed to snap back to attention, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You want to go meet your boyfriend?"

"You're the one I want to talk with," said Zhan. Surprised at the animosity that was suddenly in Yibo's voice. Just moments ago, he could have sworn he saw a spark of admiration in Yibo's gaze.

Yibo's brows knitted together in confusion. "What do you want to talk about? And why does it have to be at the hotel?"

"And I also want to meet Zhoucheng, please..."

Yibos's gaze lingered on Zhan's body, then he asked, "In your pajamas?"

Zhan's smile widened. "Give me ten minutes." And then he quickly ran back to the villa.

"Take your time!" Yibo called out, shaking his head. He couldn't believe that he was taken by a smile.
