I met the Elves!

I couldn't believe how incredible they were! Peter Jackson could never capture how wonderous they are! Lord Argolas - he is the co-ruler of the Realm of Andoria. He is going to teach me magic. But mostly he's going to teach me how to get to the top of Alderdell. That's my ticket to freedom! In my country I am the property of my father. I am co-owned by some kid I never met.

That kid is the Crown Prince of Giltea - the country I live in. It sucks but war sucks more. Grandpa still has nightmares from his days in the war. The War of Independence of Larisch was almost 200 years ago but grandpa still wakes up in a cold sweat sometimes. He sometimes screams random names of people. Poor guy. I don't wanna set off another war. I don't wanna be the reason villages get burned and farmers get raped and murdered by soldiers retreating from battles.

That part terrifies me!

My Grandpa is a half dwarf. His mom was a human and his dad was a dwarf. My mom was a half dwarf cuz my grandpa was a half dwarf and so was my grandma. That makes me a quarter dwarf and paints a huge target on my back in Giltea. They love their purity of blood! Ugh! Well the nobles do. The commoners see nobles as a bunch of weird over-perfumed freaks. I love the double takes when they talk to me and realize I am normal!

In Larisch, which is my grandpa's country, being part dwarf in any percentage is pretty common. People are very laid back and social. The food is delicious. Alderdell was a wonderful place full of adventure and fun! I will get to the top! My Aunt says I can't explore on my own until I am 14 but that's not a problem because Lord Argolas said he would take me to explore. My Grandpa said he was taking me too but mostly I am gonna have to be patient.

I do have a weapon now! I got it in Alderdell! I am super happy about my weapon. I know it's cliché to have a sentient weapon. But I love it and tomorrow I am going to Alderdell again. Alderdell is a wonderful place!
