(This is a AU where Dexter came back to life and stayed with Patty)
Patty cuts open the corpse with the scalpel, the lights in the morgue flicker. A new body came in today, and Patty wasn't honestly excited. She still remembers the incident with Moloch. She remembers how that demon made her kill that poor old woman, she couldn't control her body as it happened. The reason she stayed was because she didn't have a degree or anything to become a cop.
She reaches her gloved hand into the corpse where she cut it open, the sound of organs squish as she moves her hand around to look at the inside of the body. She didn't notice the door open, as she continued to work. She then felt a hand on her shoulder and another on her chin, tilting her head up. She yelps in fright as she looks behind her, before she relaxes slightly.
It was Dexter, who was smiling like a little goblin. "Hey, Pats. Did I scare you?" He says. Patty rolls her eyes as she sets the scalpel down. "What are you doing here? You know only authorized personnel are allowed back here." She says. Dexter chuckles as he nuzzled her cheek. "I was bored waiting for you to come home, so I decided to visit you."
Patty feels Dexter hold her bloody hand, as she raises an eyebrow. "Doesn't this bother you? I'm covered in blood from a dead person." Dexter shrugs. "I was an exterminator before, remember? I've dealt with dead animals." Patty lowers her mask, revealing the freckles on her face before she gives Dexter a peck on the lips. "I'm happy to see you. Now go home before you get us both in trouble." Dexter chuckles as he lets her go and leaves. "Alright, alright, I'll let you work."
