Back in the club, Nicole was still tryin' to process what Tasha had told her. Devin? In love with her? The idea seemed crazy, but now that she was thinkin' about it, some things were startin' to make sense. The way he always looked out for her, the way he'd get quiet whenever she talked about some guy she was seein'.
She never thought of him like that before. They had always been best friends, and she valued that friendship more than anything. But now, with the possibility hangin' in the air, she couldn't help but wonder...what if?
As she sat down at the table, watchin' her friends still havin' a good time, her mind kept driftin' back to Devin. She couldn't shake the thought of him leavin' the club without sayin' goodbye. That wasn't like him.
"Yo, where'd Tasha go?" Nicole asked, lookin' around.
"She went outside to check on Devin," Jason replied, his eyes still on the dance floor.
Nicole frowned, feelin' a twist in her chest. She needed to know if what Tasha said was true, if Devin really felt that way. But what if it was true? What would she do? Could she risk their friendship?
She stood up, grabbin' her purse. "I'll be back."
