It was a Friday, the end of a long week, and Wooyoung had one mission: check the fridge. He was convinced they could stretch their groceries a little longer, but as he swung open the fridge door, the bright light illuminated a sad reality. The shelves were nearly empty, with only a lone carrot and a couple of questionable-looking eggs staring back at him. Wooyoung huffed in frustration.
"Seriously? This isn't going to cut it for a week," he muttered, shaking his head. He rummaged through the cupboards, but the result was the same: nothing substantial. He sighed dramatically, hands on his hips, as he contemplated his next move.
"Okay then. Grocery shopping it is!" he declared, mentally drafting a list of everything they needed. He bolted to his room, quickly changing into a simple white t-shirt with a purple gingham shirt layered over it. He paired that with lighter jeans rather than his usual dark ones, and, of course, his signature white sneakers.
Feeling particularly cute, Wooyoung couldn't resist striking a few silly poses in front of the mirror. He tilted his head, pursed his lips, and flashed some silly poses. "You are one gorgeous human being," he said to himself, grinning. He loved these little moments of self-affirmation. After his impromptu modeling session, he grabbed his tote bag, ready for the grocery hunt ahead.
As he stepped into the hallway, San caught sight of him from the doorway of his own room. "Someone's all dressed up. Where you off to?" he asked, a curious eyebrow raised.
Wooyoung spun around, a bright smile on his face. "I'm going to buy food! We're running low, and I can't let us starve! Want to come with?"
San glanced down at his own clothes, then back at Wooyoung. He thought about it for a second before nodding. "Sure, let me change." He quickly swapped out his t-shirt for a sleek black polo, layering an oversized jacket on top. He pulled on his usual dark jeans and white sneakers, finishing his look with a casual yet put-together vibe.
"Alright, let's go!" Wooyoung said, practically bouncing on his feet. The two stepped out of their apartment, the excitement of a grocery run ahead of them.
As they walked to the store, the crisp autumn air brushed against their skin, filled with the scent of fallen leaves. Wooyoung chattered about what they might cook for the week, his enthusiasm infectious. San laughed along, his heart lighter than it had been in days.
"Okay, so we need veggies, potatoes especially, bread, and apples. I'm getting chocolate!" Wooyoung exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air for emphasis.
San chuckled. "Sounds like a plan. I just want to make sure we have enough to last us the week. No more near-empty fridge, alright?"
"Deal!" Wooyoung replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement as they approached the grocery store.

As they wandered the aisles, Wooyoung was on a mission, on the hunt to find his favorite brand of brown bread. He peered at the various loaves on the shelf, squinting as he tried to determine which one was the right fit. San, meanwhile, had pulled out his phone, distractedly scrolling through messages as he walked beside him.
Suddenly, San's attention shifted. He glanced up from his phone, and his eyes narrowed at a cashier who was staring intently at Wooyoung from across the aisle. What the hell? San thought, his brow furrowing. It wasn't unusual for people to notice Wooyoung; he was undeniably gorgeous. But the way this cashier was staring—like he was a piece of art or something—made San's protective instincts flare.
"Wooyoung," San leaned in closer to him, lowering his voice to a whisper. "People are staring at you."
Wooyoung, who had been reaching for a loaf on the top shelf, immediately stiffened, his hand freezing mid-air. The confidence he had just moments ago evaporated, replaced by a rush of discomfort. He looked around, eyes darting to the cashier, who hadn't even noticed that he was now the subject of scrutiny.
