Thursday had finally arrived, ushering in the promise of the weekend. The air was crisp and tinged with the scent of fallen leaves as Wooyoung, Mingi, San, and Yunho strolled into the park, excitement buzzing between them. Their destination? The charming little black cat that had captured all their hearts.

"Are you sure it'll be around here?" Mingi asked, scanning the vibrant autumn landscape filled with laughter and playful children.

"Absolutely! I saw it frolicking near the fountain the other day. Just look for a fluffy little creature!" Wooyoung exclaimed, his energy infectious.

As they ventured deeper into the park, Wooyoung's gaze suddenly locked onto the cat perched on a low wall, its glossy coat glimmering in the afternoon sun. "There it is!" he shouted, dashing toward it without a second thought.

"Hey, wait up!" Mingi called, but Wooyoung was already kneeling down, reaching out to the feline.

"Hey, kitty!" Wooyoung cooed, his voice softening. The cat responded by hopping down and rubbing against his legs, eliciting a delighted laugh from him.

San and Yunho arrived just in time to witness Wooyoung's moment of bliss. An amused smirk appeared on San's face as he crossed his arms. "Looks like someone has a new best friend," he teased, stepping closer to inspect the scene.

Wooyoung straightened up, proudly holding the cat in his arms. "I think it's obvious who it likes more," he shot back, grinning widely.

"Oh please! You're just being dramatic. The cat clearly prefers me!" San retorted, a competitive glint in his eyes.

"Are you kidding? It came to me first!" Wooyoung argued, puffing out his chest in mock bravado.

Their playful banter quickly escalated into a full-blown argument, voices rising over the laughter of children playing nearby. Mingi and Yunho exchanged worried glances, unsure of how to defuse the situation.

"Guys, come on..." Mingi said, trying to intervene. "It's just a cat. Can we not argue over this?"

San waved a hand dismissively. "You don't get it! This is about pride!"

"Pride? Really? Over a cat?" Yunho scoffed, his eyes narrowing. He stepped forward, attempting to mediate. "Hey, both of you just chill for a second—"

But before he could finish, San and Wooyoung were so caught up in their heated exchange that they mistook Yunho's hands for those of a stranger trying to break them up. They simultaneously swatted his hands away, leaving him looking flabbergasted.

"Stop interfering, stranger!" Wooyoung barked, his focus entirely on San.

"Yeah, this is none of your business!" San added, dismissively.

With an exasperated sigh, Yunho exchanged a glance with Mingi, who shrugged helplessly. Realizing that their friends were too absorbed in their argument to listen, they decided to step back.

"Let's just grab our bags and head out," Mingi said, shaking his head sadly.

"Agreed," Yunho replied, feeling a mix of annoyance and pity for the ridiculous spectacle.

As they turned to leave, it wasn't until five minutes later—amidst their continued bickering—that Wooyoung and San finally paused to take stock of their surroundings.

"Wait, where did Yunho go?" San asked, frowning as he scanned the park.

"Mingi? Wait, did they leave?" Wooyoung echoed, looking around in confusion.

Realization dawned on them simultaneously. The laughter and playful chaos of the park had grown quieter, and their friends were nowhere to be found.

"Shit, we really lost them," Wooyoung muttered, his heart sinking.

"Great, now we have to find them," San replied, a hint of annoyance creeping into his tone.

With a hasty glance at the cat, Wooyoung gently set it down, his earlier enthusiasm dampened. "I'm going to see Mingi, and fast, good luck with Yunho." he said, already starting in the direction of their shared apartment.

"Right, you too." San agreed, going the opposite direction of Yunho's house, eager to reunite and apologize to his best friend right after their argument.

As they dashed through the park, the vibrant autumn colors blurred around them, and the warmth of friendship rekindled their spirits.
