The sun streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room as Mingi stirred awake. He blinked a few times, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep, and turned to see Yunho still nestled under the covers, a peaceful expression on his face. Mingi smiled, feeling a rush of affection as he took in the sight of the boy who had become so important to him overnight.
"Yunho," Mingi whispered, nudging him gently. "We need to get up for class."
Yunho groaned in response, burying his face deeper into the pillow. "Five more minutes, princess." he mumbled, sounding adorably stubborn.
"Come on! If we don't hurry, we'll be late," Mingi teased, shaking him a little harder this time.
Finally, Yunho lifted his head, his hair tousled and eyes half-lidded. "Fine, fine. You win," he said, rolling out of bed and stretching like a cat.
As Mingi got ready, he couldn't help but sneak glances at Yunho, who was busy rummaging through his drawer for clothes. They had spent the last few days together, unpacking Mingi's things and settling into this new routine. It felt surprisingly right, and Mingi found himself getting used to it quickly.
After a quick breakfast, they hurried to campus, sharing laughter and playful banter along the way. Mingi felt lighter than he had in a long time. With Yunho by his side, even the mundane seemed enjoyable.
As classes went on, Mingi found it difficult to concentrate, his mind drifting to thoughts of the pumpkin patch they had planned for after school. He could hardly wait.
Finally, the clock struck three, signaling the end of their last class. Mingi felt a surge of excitement. "We're really doing this!" he exclaimed as they walked out of the building, the crisp autumn air welcoming them.
"Of course, princess. Just give me a second." Yunho said with a teasing smirk, earning him a light shove from Mingi.
"Stop calling me that," Mingi laughed, though he secretly loved it.
"Never, princess." Yunho declared, his tone teasing but affectionate. Mingi could feel his cheeks heat up, and he playfully rolled his eyes, trying to mask his embarrassment.
As they made their way to the pumpkin patch, they chatted about their plans. "What do you want to do there?" Yunho asked, glancing over at Mingi, who was beaming with excitement.
"I wanna pick the biggest pumpkin! And maybe take pictures? I don't know." Mingi suggested, his eyes sparkling.
Yunho chuckled, nodding. "Sounds perfect. Just as long as we don't end up carrying a pumpkin that's bigger than you are."
They continued their banter, making each other laugh, and soon arrived at the pumpkin patch. The vibrant colors of the pumpkins and the laughter of families enjoying the day filled the air. Mingi felt a rush of happiness as he stepped onto the property, taking in the sights and sounds.
After a while of exploring, they found a cozy spot away from the crowd and sat down on a hay bale, catching their breath. The warm sunlight bathed them in a golden hue, and Mingi looked over at Yunho, who was smiling softly at him.
"Hey," Yunho said, breaking the comfortable silence. "I just wanted to say I'm really glad you're here. I mean it."
Mingi's heart raced at the sincerity in Yunho's voice. "Same here. I'm glad I moved in with you."
Yunho shifted closer, their knees brushing against each other. "You know, I've been thinking..." He paused, searching Mingi's eyes for something. "I really like you, Mingi."
Mingi's breath caught in his throat, his heart pounding in his chest. "I like you too, Yunho. I really do."
A smile broke out on Yunho's face, bright and warm. "So, you wanna make this official?"
